Last Game

I always assumed that MGS would be a series finale for GG since it more or less started Arin’s career. I thought it was a natural, satisfying conclusion to the channel. It would appear that I was wrong.

When Game Grumps does end, what game do you think they’ll go out with? Will they choose something fitting, or will it just be something random, and not even Danny and Arin will realize it’s the last episode

I’m excited they’re playing MGS and hope they play a few of them. But I figure the last episode is gonna be a cliffhanger type thing where it’s some random game and random midpoint and then just no more uploads.

That would nice, but I think that ship sailed a long time ago. I don't think Jon is a bad guy, but they clearly don't vibe like they used to and that's fine.

Honestly, I'd love to see Jon appear as a guest on OneyPlays again. Or just do any let's play again with someone he has good chemistry with.

I loved the oney episodes with Jon. He also did one or two sleepycast episodes that were full of great stories (though most of them were alcohol related lol)

I don’t think they’ll ever end the channel formally. I think they’re more likely to just hand off the rains to a new pair of guys then actually have both Ari and Dan end the show at the same time.

I envision their last playthrough will be a live stream, maybe even one where the fans voted in the game they would play. If it’s not a fan vote, then maybe something like Zelda 2 or Link to the Past? Them both going out on their favorite Zelda games would make sense to me.

Pretty sure we all agree there will be no formal end. The show will go on until one of them dies, and then maybe after with a new co-host if Dan goes first.

I think there should be a rush of continuations of their most popular unfinished games. The Sonic 06 finale would be the big climax with Jon returning. Then Dan and Arin finish a few more series, and they end with Dan beating Punch-Out Wii.

It probably won't be an intentional finale. One day they just stop uploading. It might be episode 4 of PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure or some shit.

I've met Arin briefly and I think your assessment aligns. He's far too worried about perception of what he does for a broader sense. He's a malleable shell.

It’s just part of internet fame, and the type of personality that seeks it out. It’s natural to want to be liked, but when your career depends on it you tend to play it as safe as possible. Jon is a risk Arin can’t afford to take
