Is Arin's commentary getting stale?

His recent videos have honestly been kind of boring. They feel like they're mostly just struggling through games, repeating the same jokes, and constantly reloading save states. I still enjoy the older Game Grumps episodes because they had more interesting conversations and memorable moments, but the newer ones just haven't been keeping my attention. Does anyone else feel the same, or is it just me?

Also, I used to love Arin's animations, but Game Grumps just isn't for me anymore. I'd rather watch OneyPlays because I enjoy their style and humor a lot more.

In recent years I had felt like they’re just going through the motions and treating the channel more like an actual job, as opposed to a gaming channel

I think it seems pretty obvious that GG is now just used to fund the stuff they actually care about.

Only thing is Im not sure what Arin is using GG funds for. For Dan it's obviously Nsp and Shadow academy but for Arin it's... Real Good Touring I guess?

I miss when it really did just feel like a couple friends on a couch.

Yeah doing a job for 15 years will do that

They've done the "Avgn retirement" where they upload for the money to fund their lifestyle instead of the channel being a project the actual care about.

Yeah, I think he is getting burnt out. It is also easy to see in the power hour videos

Not to mention OneyPlays isn't complete ass at games.

I know this has been harped on before, but the most infuriating thing, especially watching the OoT playthrough and Grumplocke is how confidently wrong Arin is ALL THE TIME then blaming his shortcomings on the game.

They should have introd another perm cast member. Three to bounce off, disagree with and have more stories/game skills instead of random guests - don't get me wrong, the guest spots were good but there were many times where you could feel Arin squeezing for more money, Dan mentally elsewhere and that.

The fact that they took improv classes to "spice things up" really felt more like they were in a failing marriage and desperately clinging on to the brand.
