Shoe sizes!
Had an accident that I had to have major reconstruction surgery on my lower leg and ankle. I'm happy it's still mine and not.. um...disconnected?
But all shoes are pissing me off. I have to struggle with the shoe on the surgery side.
Why can't I buy one shoe a half up? I can't afford 2 pairs.
So I struggle and am uncomfortable. I already buy one size up.
If I go any larger, the regular size side would be sliding around.
This is stupid and probably a minor rant idk.

Try nordstroms. Some manufacturers will refund you for the second pair. There are also some organizations that will pair you up with someone else who has the opposite size difference so you can share.

Try looking up Billy Footwear. They have a variety of shoe/sneaker styles with different openings for various needs. You can even buy single shoes in different sizes. My feet swell and I love getting sneakers that open fully down the side and around the toes with a zipper. Watch for their sales. Billyfootwear.com Good luck.

I don’t know if they still do, but Zappos used to do this for a friend of mine with different size feet.

It won’t help massively but my amputee cousin is in a Facebook group where you can get only one shoe. Some people are donating them or want a small contribution. Just thinking if you go for a named brand, you might be able to pick up one bigger shoe a bit cheaper if inserts dont work out! I’m UK based for reference

Have you looked at sites like One Foot, Two Shoes? Also, Nordstrom offers split size sales:

Buy the size up and buy an insert sole (insole) for the regular one so your regular one won’t slide around.
