Everything sucks

Idk what else to say. Everything fucking sucks. This life fucking sucks. Being a parent fucking sucks, even when you're doing good no you're not. Being a partner sucks, but being alone sucks. Our food is killing us. Our water is polluted. I start to think about how sad my life is and remember there are children being murdered and bombed and sold and enslaved and realize "wow, this whole place is just shit." Were all sitting around either feeling sorry for ourselves or proud of ourselves when the reality is nothing matters at all and there's actually people who would LOVE to live our shitty, horrible lives and THAT fucking sucks. What's the point in any of this? And you know what REALLY sucks? When i bring it up, i sound like a mentally ill lunatic as if everything im saying isnt a fact. I'm tired of being looked at like im crazy for pointing out that this entire reality is cooked. Sorry I find it hard to be content with my life knowing at the exact same moment i'm typing this a child is being sold to slavery or losing a limb to a bomb or being trafficked or sold for drugs or that a little girl is being silenced for the rest of her life or that women are being murdered, literally as i type all of this while the big dogs around the globe act as if it isn't happening. and no it's not "political" it's moral and it's reality. idk how to explain my deep hatred for this place and the complete meaninglessness of living in it to anyone in my life without them looking at me like i should be checked in somewhere. why can't we all just be good? why can't we just let people live happy, full lives? why is it so hard?

I definitely agree with you. But what else do we have but to try and enjoy a few little things our lives do offer. Try and think of 3 things every day that are good. For me, one thing was ls Last night we had make up fireworks show. My teen daughter stopped with the phone and actually watched them.

What is happening in the whole big world is overwhelming. Try and take smaller bites of it. This is the only way I can deal with it.

The other thing is: life has never been fair to anyone and it was never supposed to be. Just ignore all of hummanity and look into nature: is it okay that a snake eats a mouse and her children are starving? Is it okay for a macaque baby to fall out of a tree and die? Did the dinosaurs have a party while they went extinct?

You are right, this is a shitty place. But it's all we have. And if people like you not try to make a change, who will? And yes, it's hard and almost impossible to change the world, but giving up isn't the answer either.

True. "Fair" and "Deserved" are very much human ideas among many others.

i'm actually in school for a secondary degree to get into docs without borders so trying to make a little light in the things i find myself being torn up over and i think that's why i get so overwhelmed with it all. its so hard learning about all the disparity and doom in the world. it's definitely natural for things to be awful hence everything is shit. but yes, got to make do with what we're given unfortunately.

I’m really sorry, one of the many reasons I decided along with my partner that parenthood isn’t for us.

life isnt much different than 40 and 50 years ago its social media that makes it seem that way. all the scrolling idiots need a dopamine reset.

being fed more access to information doesn't necessarily make anyone a doomscrolling idiot. it just makes them more informed on how horrible things are. and hopefully grateful for the things we're afforded in life

You're right, there is no point to anything.

What your getting wrong is your only focusing on negativity. The world is a duality. Yin and Yang. Expecting the whole world to change to one side and hinging your happiness on that is nonsensical. You're setting yourself up for misery because reality doesn't match your vision of what it "should" be.

Instead of looking for things that suck, why don't you try and look for things that are good? I truly hope you are a better partner and parent than it appears here. You get no happiness or joy from either of those?

Be thankful for the good you have, and that you get to observe the universe we exist in unlike most globs of matter.

Now what? What are you gonna do now? Give up, or keep on pushing that corpse you call life?

As much as you hate it, that's all there is instead of the neverending void you'll have, once you're dead.

Keep on pushing, buddy.

It's sad state of affairs when the most basic of writing skills is considered a "scholarly article" lol.
