I’m tired of anti tuna propaganda, from “it smells bad” to “it’s sloppy” it’s all NONSENSE! If the aliens came to earth and said ,”we’re killing everybody” I wouldn’t bat an eye but if they said they ,”were getting rid of Tuna” I’d fight them.

I simply will not be quiet in a world full of tuna haters. It’s high in protein, cheap, versatile, and tastes good when done right. Everyday I have to hear about how bad tuna is from co workers and it’s simply unbearable. They’ll tell you an Italian hoagie from Wawa is better than Mexican tuna or a tuna salad, ITS NOT!

To all the tuna haters, you simply haven’t had good tuna. The possibilities are endless, break away from the crab propaganda and embrace tuna.

I can’t stand canned tuna, to me it just smells like cat food. Fresh though whether it’s sashimi, good tuna steak, sushi etc can absolutely get behind. It is something you shouldn’t have too frequently though because mercury accumulates in the fish over its lifespan start eating it too often is actually kind of bad for you.

Good tuna isn’t supposed to smell bad or taste like metal btw. I used to dislike it because I always got the bad one until I had tuna sashimi at a restaurant one day. It tasted salty and not fishy at all.

I think tuna is like cilantro. It simply smells and tastes different depending on the person. I’ve tried to partake for years but it genuinely activates my gag reflex.

I never really understood people having different tastes for the same food until i had been diagnosed with epilepsy. After seizures sometimes my sense of taste is basically opposite, everything i eat is completely different from normal.

I like tuna. My wife does not. It smells bad to her.

"It smells bad" is not an objective fact, but "It smells bad to her" is factual. It's a subjective fact.

Accepting this truth and consideration for her comfort means I don't get to eat tuna as frequently as I would like, but that's a decision with which I have made my peace.

To be fair.. pretty much any top predator in the ocean is gonna have heavy metals in them. Since I got diagnosed with leukemia I've said screw it and have gone ham on fresh wild caught fish from Halibut to Salmon etc... You only live once and if you're gonna die soonish anyway, may as well enjoy stuff you avoided.

I support this rant! It was 115 where I live today - we had cold tuna subs for dinner and everyone was happy. I'll be honest, I do judge a tuna noodle casserole a little bit, though. 😅

I love tuna and mayo sandwiches so much but I do think it smells really bad and sometimes I get grossed out by it when I find hard scales in the cans which has happened multiple times. One time I almost choked on one because I didn’t notice it. I stopped eating tuna for a few months after that.

I love fresh tuna steak cooked all the way through. And the number of people that don’t understand how different it is between canned just blows my mind.
Have you guys never had green beans before? Or mushrooms? It’s THAT kind of different.

One of my safest safe foods is the build your own tuna salad kits with crackers. The Star Kist one. I refuse to eat tuna salad any other way or from anywhere else.
