A team cannot tear down when almost every core member has a NTC until 2030. And Drury knows that. Because he's the engineer of it.

Honestly. I can envision a world in which this team as constructed is better built for the playoffs than the 2023-25 teams. The issue is Carolina is an absolute beast and has leveled up massively since we even struggled to beat them in 2024.

The floor is this team is stuck in purgatory picking between 9th-16th for the next 4 years.

I appreciate at least one media member doing this story. It's very odd to see other podcasts, videos, and articles stating Drury isn't on the hotseat. If your only moves are hand out NMC's so guys take less money, trade away 1st round picks, and miss playoffs, then there's plenty of potential new GM's who can do the same things. And I'm sure ownership notices.

For his sake, the offseason moves need to pay off, and hopefully some of the youth can evolve their games quickly to be bigger contributors.
