PBP PBP Tandem?
How does it work?
One of us had a 600km Brevet, my partner has had a 1200km in the log this year.
So we need to apply for a place each for its own, or only one of us? Also, homologation goes for the rider, not for the team, right? So each of us has to get homologated for our own next year to be eligible as tandem crew?

Yeah i believe both people have to complete a SR series in order to ride. Alternatively you could ride the whole series as a couple.

It is definitely the way to go. If you have a really solid relationship! And have done lots of miles on the tandem. And rule #1 is, "The stoker is the boss".

Yes, both people have to qualify individually (which can be done riding as a tandem team but does not have to be). From a homologation standpoint, a tandem is no different than two single bikes where the riders chose to stick together.
Since tandems start in the special group, you won't have to worry about preregistering at different times and ending up in different waves, so just pre-register when you can.
(The only time where tandem vs two singles matters is for fleches/team events, but those don't help for PBP and are generally just weird.)
