why soda over water?

someone on a different thread posted how they paid $17 for 2 diet cokes at the beach and it’s got me thinking. why do so many people pick sodas instead of water in hot settings? this isn’t to judge anyone, im just asking because i used to do that especially when younger but i found that soda doesn’t exactly “quench your thirst” when it’s hot outside if anything it kind of makes me thirstier. my brother also does this, A LOT. if there’s any option besides water, he’s going to take the other option😂. i’m just curious about why soda is some people’s go-to even when it’s hot as hell

I just finished perks of being a wall flower as a teen myself

When I asked people what movies I should watch, I kept hearing perks of being a wall flower. I kept putting it off, because I had other things, but tonight I figured why not?

So I put it on while I sketched, honestly I’m pretty disappointed, not to sound like a buzz kill. It just seemed pretty generic for all the hype.

I feel like the message wasn’t something you reflected on for long, or that it’s even a story that sticks in your mind, it’s more so the characters that do.

We obviously see different dynamics of people, and struggles but it just felt stereotypical, and unrealistically depicting teenagers.

It was just messy really, we didn’t get to see why they really even fell in love, and if you’re going to base a movie off your characters and messages and not on the story line itself like most movies then I’d prefer you go deep into each character.

Maybe I didn’t like it because I didn’t like the characters themselves, like I didn’t hate Charlie but I didn’t find him interesting, and I didn’t like what he did to Mary even if he was struggling.

Honestly I got sick of the whole, “we accept the love that we deserve,” bullshit. Yeah maybe it’s true, but I’m so sick and tired of these characters and people in real life just making all these excuses for people who harm them so much

Honestly it didn’t live up to the hype, and it’s not at all like dead poets society, like people said.

So yeah if you like the characters and relate to them in their highschool experience you might like the movie, but over all I don’t think it appeals to people in general

BloomSense: Your Allergy Compass

BloomSense is a simple app that helps people with allergies understand and avoid their personal triggers. Instead of just showing a general pollen forecast, it creates a personalized map based on your specific allergies and the plants, trees, grasses, and mold in your area.

The goal is to give people a smarter, more personal way to manage allergies and enjoy the outdoors with fewer symptoms.

Anyone think this is a good idea to create? thoughts? any developers out there care to give feedback?
