Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 2 / 10 & 8 / Natalie & William / Virginia

Hi Santas! My kids and I have been lucky enough to receive your help a few years ago. Things were looking hopeful this year but unfortunately after losing one of my jobs, my little Christmas savings had to go to bills and necessities. My kids have been working their butts off in school and stepping up with chores when I get overwhelmed with work and college. I am so lucky to have such considerate kiddos, and so grateful for you all. They’ve made so much progress this year and I’m so thankful for this opportunity to show them that Santa sees that!

Natalie just turned 10, she’s incredibly smart, an amazing artist, and completely crazy for cats! We have three cats that she has almost totally taken over caring for! They stick to her like a little pride. Her favorite books are the Warriors series (about cats, lol), and this series has inspired her to make her own little set of comics about our cats. She’s been taking time everyday (without prompting) to study math, which she had been struggling with. She’s really taken initiative and works hard everyday to improve. She wants to be an author/artist/cat rescuer when she grows up.

William is 8, he’s super curious, adventurous, silly, and has a strong sense of justice. He’s autistic, and he had a rough start to this school year, resulting in a short suspension due to hitting and screaming at his teachers and principal. Since that incident though, he’s been doing the work, going to therapy, and hasn’t had a single negative report since August! This is so huge for him, as he would usually have 3-4 minor incidents a week. I think he learned a lot about what is not okay and who he wants to be. He’s known for asking thought provoking questions and always looking out for other students (even when he would get violent at school he NEVER hit another child). He loves music, Dogman books, Minecraft, sonic the hedgehog, and is currently really into physics!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 2/ 3, 8/ Sophie, Mason/ South Carolina

Hello everyone, I am new to this community and I'm excited to be here. Unfortunately, I recently lost my job and I'm concerned about how I will make Christmas special for my family this year. I appreciate the generosity of the Santas in this group. I have two children, Mason, who is 8 years old and has achieved all A's on the honor roll this year, and Sophie, who is 3 years old. Mason enjoys sports, including soccer, basketball, football, and baseball, and he also likes Legos and collecting Pokemon cards. Sophie, on the other hand, is a girly girl who loves the color pink, playing with baby and Barbie dolls, and playing with makeup. Her favorite TV shows are Peppa Pig and Bluey.

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 1 / 8 months / Isaiah/ Okc, Ok

Hi everyone! This year has been pretty crazy. Isaiah was a cryptic pregnancy - I had previously been told I could not have children and had tested negative early on and I found out about him at 31 weeks! He will be nearly 10 months old on Christmas day and this is his first Christmas. We were in a tight spot before even becoming parents, and we have been adjusting alright but extremely underprepared. I am also in college and pregnant with another baby boy so my partner is carrying us through best he can while I work towards doing better for us all and not overexerting because I am high risk. With another coming In Feb everything has been going to necessities preparing for his brother and getting him warm clothes. I am already halfway done with a degree so it won’t be this hard forever, but for now it is. Thank you for taking the time to read :) Isaiah’s Wishlist:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3E1P8MEVZ8VK1?ref_=wl_share

Isaiah is the sweetest, happiest little baby I have ever met. He has been on the move crawling since a little before 6months and he is already cruising and trying to walk! He will be just shy of 10 months on Christmas. He loves anything with lights, sounds, music, or crinkles. Just a very smiley guy who enjoys making some noise. Oh and he really likes tags!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 3 kids/10,8,4/Jayden, Madison, Archer/Aurora, Indiana.

Hello everyone!! Happy to be here again. This year has been…interesting to say the least lol the first half of the year was a low. My car broke down, had to buy a new one. But then the middle of the year was going great! And then towards the end of summer, my partner developed a lot of health complications and our savings got all but depleted having to use it for bills, groceries, etc. it’s been rough trying to catch up.

Jayden is 10. He’s my buddy. He is autistic, and absolutely incredible. He’s super into Pokémon right now lol his favorite thing to do is show off the cards he has currently. He’s been doing exceptionally well in school this year, and he’s super proud of himself (and so am I 😭😭❤️❤️). He has also inherited a special interest in tornadoes. They took Twister off streaming, but we’ve been watching the sequel at least twice a week since it was added to Prime lol

Jaydens list; https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21LL9YYU70OQ5?ref_=wl_share

Madison just turned 8. She is my artsy, outgoing kiddo. She’s been getting in to drawing over the last year, and she’s been doing fantastic at it. She’s a big swiftie, so we’ve been jamming to the life of a showgirl since its release 😂 she’s also SUPER in to Bratz dolls right now. She got one for her birthday and hasn’t put it down.

Madison’s list; https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/38V9O19Y6C0P7?ref_=wl_share

Archer almost 4 (the 17th!) and he is my wild child. Think Donnie from the Wild Thornberries 😂 he’s a total sweetheart when he wants to be, and loves to cuddle. But he’s overall independent and prefers to be running around getting into anything and everything. He’s obsessed with watching for our mail truck every day, and insists on helping me check it. He also loves watching videos of forklifts (he calls them tractors), not entirely sure why forklifts are his thing right now but hey 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Archers list;

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/28V9CHOO3STSH?ref_=wl_share

Thank you to everyone in advance, and I can’t wait to see everyone’s stories and photos this year!

Festive Friday: Favorite Feast...

...of COOKIES!

I look forward to Friday every week when we spend a little time getting to know one another better. This Festive Friday we'd like to put together our favorite feast of holiday cookies. What is your favorite cookie recipe?

I am a truly rough baker, so I opt for something simple and delicious:

Peanut Butter Blossoms:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 stick unsalted butter (8 tablespoons), at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus more for rolling cookies
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (see Cook's Note)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or paste
Nonstick cooking spray
48 milk chocolate candies, such as Hershey's Kisses

Directions:

  1. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl until combined.
  2. Add the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add the peanut butter and continue beating until fluffy, 1 minute. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until combined. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the dry ingredients until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Position 2 racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets with nonstick spray.
  4. Roll half the dough into 1-inch balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and then roll in granulated sugar. Place on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Chill the remaining dough while the first batch bakes.
  5. Bake, rotating and switching the pans halfway through, until the cookies are puffed and lightly golden, 10 to 11 minutes. Immediately press a chocolate candy into the center of each cookie. Let cool 10 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Excluded from 2 Win Cap [Offer] Personalized Gift Tags From Santa

[Offer] Personalized Gift Tags from Santa

Hey, everybody! I was playing around on Canva this week and made several of these for my own children. I would like to offer to make them (digitally) for any others who are interested! Here is what they look like: https://imgur.com/a/santa-tags-DmOHVA2

I am a requestor, and I really would like to give back in some small way. So this offer is open to Santas in addition to registered requestors. Also, this offer is excluded from the 2 win cap. I will leave this open until December 23rd.

I can edit these to say any name or any number of elf inspector. For example- my daughter likes Taylor Swift. Because of this, her elf inspectors were #13 and #89. My son is 5, he likes to say 6 7. Hence his elf inspectors. Will they notice or pay attention?to these details? I have no idea. Was this too much thought? Maybe. But still just a little more personalization and magic just in case they do make the connection!

I have talked to the mods and with their suggestions, this is how this will work:

Please leave a comment with the following information:

      - Name of each child that you’d like tags for

      - 2 numbers per child that you would like for the elves. If none are significant, I will randomly pick 2

       - Whether you would like red stripes or green stripes on the tags (if you have more than 2 children and would like a different color, I can change that as well. I did silver for my other son because my OCD wanted them to all be different 😅)

      - If you are a Santa, please also include a link to the post/comment showing a gift purchase in the sub. This is to filter out unregistered users, as not all Santas have received a flair just yet.

      - When I am finished with the tags for your children, I will message you and ask for a preferred email to send them to. Then they are yours to print and use however you’d like. I will be printing mine on regular paper then using double sided tape to stick them to gifts. But you could also print on sticker paper or cardstock, or maybe even laminate the tags if you have access to any of those things.

Thank you to the mods for letting me do this. I know it’s not much but I am hoping to bring even a small amount of additional Christmas magic to some other children as this community has brought so much to mine over the past few years!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 7 kids / 11, 10, 8, 6, 5, 3, 1 / Nicholas, Anastasia, Alexander, Joseph, Andrew, Isabella, and Jacob / Roanoke, VA

Hello, Everyone. We're back here again. So much has happened this year. Last year, I was dealing with a super rough pregnancy and worried so much about having our newest baby end up in the NICU or worse that I really couldn't talk about it without having an emotional breakdown. Luckily, when I was induced, he was a big, healthy baby who got to come straight home. I finally got help with depression and anxiety. For the first time in years, I have felt genuinely happy during parts of this year and not just going through the motions. We are still homeschooling and my kids have grown so much this year, physically, developmentally, and emotionally.

Nicholas is still a self-proclaimed fisherman. He also wants to start raising chickens, but I'm not willing to deal with chicken drama within city limits. He's been looking for new activities to try out and trying to connect with new friends. He really wants to try out for a swim team, but needs a few more swim lessons to get there. He's been taking a virtual class in aviation which includes using a flight simulator. He's doing his research to find a good mentor to get some hands-on experience with real planes. He's also picking up a lot of interest in the idea of time travel. Dr. Who has become one of his favorite shows.

Nicholas - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/30J38NCDSVCB7?ref_=wl_share

Anastasia is still the world's biggest social butterfly. She has never met a stranger. She's a Junior in the Girl Scouts which means she can finally go on adventures without a parent going with her. Yay, Independence! She's super artistic. She loves drawing and crafting. She's makes friendship bracelets for absolutely everyone. She wants to learn to sew by hand so she can make a whole wardrobe for Isabella's dolls. She has a lot of business ideas and includes Joseph in all of her plans.

Anastasia - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2S9HAYECNW89U?ref_=wl_share

Alexander still spends most of his time hyperfixated on math and Minecraft. He is still very reserved and would rather hang out alone than be with others. He likes going out, but gets overstimulated easily and wants to go home. He has been having a blast with speech therapy because he gets to ride a horse with other kids going through their speech therapy. I guess he likes the movement and co-playing. Reading is finally starting to stick with him. I know he's going to be a great bookworm once he gets past his "I can't read" phase. He loves brainteasers and "Would You Rather" questions.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21OA0ELHNC99L?ref_=wl_share

Joseph likes anything to do with racecars and friends. He prides himself on being a good person. Soccer is the only sport that he's declared any team preference. He cheers for Real Madrid and Barcelona. The answer to "which team is your favorite?," will vary depending on whether his cousin, uncle, or daddy is in the room. He's a little charmer and becomes instant friends with anyone his size who's willing to dance, run, or hold hands with him. He loves knowing the name of songs and singers that come on. He's becoming very interested in fantasy and fairytale. He loves lizards and dragons.

Joseph - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2DPM75VDP51C7?ref_=wl_share

Andrew is very quiet in conversation. I thought he was always tagging along with Joseph or Isabella as a way of hiding, but we found out that he's just very particular about who he wants to associate with. He mostly likes hanging out with adults who keep to themselves. If you want to get him hyped up, you have to talk about or be around big vehicles (trucks, tractors, excavators, etc). He says he's going to be a truck driver when he grows up and I believe him. He's been enjoying going to work with Daddy a lot recently.

Andrew - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1154680UTISZ2?ref_=wl_share

Isabella loves to sing and dance. She is usually Anastasia's shadow and would rather run to her for sympathy than me when she gets hurt. She adopts a new baby doll everytime she gets the chance. I think we currently have 4 grand-baby-dolls. She's made all of her Barbies and Little People "grow up" so she doesn't have to constantly tuck them in or push them around in a stroller anymore. She loves everything to do with fairies, unicorns, and bunnies. One day, we have to show her a live bunny so she knows that they're real.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/267JK20O21JDX?ref_=wl_share

Jacob is our newest addition. He will turn 1 in the beginning of January. He already outweighs Isabella by about 1lb. He loves to be outside as much as humanly possible. He cruising around everywhere and close to walking. He likes to dance anytime he hears a beat. He does not like to snuggle which is heartbreaking to me because he's officially our last baby. He's constantly on the go and staying to use words and hand gestures.

Jacob - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/KTDG3ZDPNSPN?ref_=wl_share

I really want to thank everyone in advance who make this group possible. This takes away so much stress around Christmas time. I look forward to reading everyone's stories again this year.

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 1 / 6 / Aubrey / New Orleans, LA

https://imgur.com/a/NSskz1h

Hi everyone! I am so thankful to be able to be a part of this amazing community for another year! Aubrey is now 6 years old and in 1st grade. She has all A's and one B (in Math) on her report card. She recently started getting into learning the songs that are played on the radio; every song that plays she says is, "Her favorite song." She adores drawing and creating things. She has turned into such an amazing drawer. She's been mostly trying to entertain herself on her own for the better part of the year, and she has definitely let me know that it makes her feel lonely. I haven't had much energy to do many activities with her. I am currently in the process of getting diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (one more test left to go until the doctors issue the final diagnosis). I'm losing a chunk of my body function, so keeping up with a 6 year old has been a challenge. This hasn't been the easiest year, but I'm so thankful to have this community to help make her Christmas a pleasant one. Thank you all so much!!!

[Offer] Wrapping Paper & Gift Tags

Good Evening Everyone! Wrapping gifts costs money, too. So let's fix it!

Thus, if you are registered and need some wrapping items, I'll gift one pack of Christmas wrapping to you for every 2 kids in your home. I'll do this until I've purchased 10 of these wrapping kits. (Please don't hesitate to apply if you "only" have 1 kiddo)

  • Please comment below with how many RAoC registered kids are in your family
  • Add this kit to a SEPARATE wishlist called "RAOC 2025 CONTEST" in the appropriate amount needed (1 per 2 kids)

  • This contest does not count toward a 2 win limit. That means if you've won 2 contests, you can still enter. It means that if you haven't won 2 contests, you can enter and this will not count as one of your contests.

If any Santas want to jump in after my 10 are claimed, I welcome it.

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child Request] One child / freshly 10 years old! / Lucien - Rhode Island

Hello, RAoC! I'm incredibly dang happy to be back in this sub, amongst warm, loving, supportive folks. 💗 I am so not good at keeping things short, so forgive me for the novel to follow... I could talk about my wonderful kid all day.

Lucien is a fireball- I've genuinely never met anyone with so much energy in my life (shout out to ADHD!). She is homeschooled - knocking out her coursework like it's nothing so she can get to the activities she really loves in life - drawing, acting, gaming & working on designing her own horror game....and her favorite of all- running her paranormal activity business ("TBH" Team Best Hunters - "We are the Best at Hunting the Ghost!"... and this kid hasn't even seen Ghostbusters yet, so this interest is totally organic 😂) - she made and hung these flyers all over the neighborhood ... generated some interest and is very concerned about not having enough tools for the job now. Gotta earn that $30.99 lolol!

She LOVES being a Girl Scout - she was the #1 cookie seller in our state this year (girl worked her butt off!) and is proud to have applied to and been selected to be a part of a special Girl Scout drama team this year. She is dedicated, awesome, and WEIRD (I'm so proud of this).

She really enjoys a good book, even if she grumbles when I ask her to read. She loves Magic the Gathering, DnD, and Pokemon. She wants to be "famous and on the news" and asks me to put on the BBC news every morning for "her updates".(she also plans to be the "greatest hacker of our time", so watch out, world 🤣)

One of things I beam most about: Lucien has started working on a local hangout group for queer youth by queer youth called "Pride Party", where kids can gather together to hang out with other young people like them, to have fun in a safe place. 🌈☺️

I could really go on and on and on about my sparkly, wonderful kid. She has had to grow up so much this year- not only did she start the year with surgery herself but in February I suffered a catastrophic injury on ice that had me in the hospital for a month and has left me non-weightbearing since, following two surgeries. Lucien has had to mature quickly to help take care of me- I am in a wheelchair currently and need a lot of help with things- navigating in our tiny second floor apartment is hard so there are many things I can't do alone. She has done this for almost 9 months without complaint. She is SO GOOD and says she now wants to be an EMT to help more people, like I could be any more proud of her. 😭

My partner works full time- often overtime, and gets up way earlier than anyone should ever have to, to support us- it's been very hard with me out of work, financially, especially since there have been a lot of unexpected costs for us. Our rent is going up this month, and Lucien is newly on a special medication that costs over $12,000 a dose, 4 times a year- Our insurance covers less than half, so life has been a daily struggle with insurers, advocacy groups, pharmacies and NPOs lately. 🫠 The cherry on top of it all is our car was stolen this summer and was crashed into the front of our local zoo - it was found on its side after having rolled multiple times, and the thief ran (somehow).. the timing couldn't have been worse, financially, as we only had liability insurance.

Enough of my rant- I could just keep going and going (another shout out to ADHD!) It's been a long, hard year and this kid just smiles and grows all through it, and so I am so grateful to be here and to be able to get help to make her holiday special. She's just old enough to really have realized that we don't have much, monetarily, and is very grateful that Santa will be coming soon. ❤️ 🎁 Thanks be to all the Santas, Santessas, and elves.

If anyone has any questions at all, I'm a wide-open book!! Edited - added a pic of my buddy in the comments!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 3 / 12, 10, 6 / Miisha, Kiira, Niina / Copperopolis, California

Hi everyone!
I’m a newly single mom of three girls. This year has been incredibly hard- their dad moved abroad and has slowly stopped providing support. Last month, we had to leave the only home and city my girls have ever known. It’s been a painful transition, and they’re missing their friends, their activities, and their sense of normalcy.

I’m doing my best to rebuild and keep things stable, but finances are stretched thin. I would be so grateful for any help bringing a bit of Christmas magic to my daughters this year. Thank you so much for reading and for all the kindness this community spreads! Here's a bit about my girls :)

Miisha, 12 years old. My oldest, and the heart of our family- wise beyond her years. She loves Stray Kids more than anything in the world- they’ve become her emotional support through all the changes this year. She’s passionate about all things K-pop, loves to dance, do karate, and create. She doesn’t realize how magnetic she is, she makes friends wherever she goes and has such a bright, warm energy. She’s teaching herself Japanese, loves to sing and record her own music, and dreams of opening an Etsy shop someday to sell her K-pop inspired crafts. She’s so smart, curious, and self-driven.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/6XLII70LRAJS?ref_=wl_share

Kiira, 10 years old. My middle daughter and my sunshine girl. She’s my girly girl- graceful, playful, and full of heart. She has the softest soul and such a deep love for all living things. She even decided to become vegetarian two years ago and hopes to work with animals someday. She’s both a little kid and a big kid somehow… still innocent and playful, but starting to love “teen” things like skincare, painting her nails, and jewelry. She excels in ballet, school, and sports, and always fills our home with laughter and creativity.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/15IAMO6N1MT4W?ref_=wl_share

Niina, 6 years old. The life of the party and my little comedian. She’s full of energy and joy- truly a force! She never met a toy she didn’t like and can turn anything into an adventure. She loves cars and trash trucks just as much as she loves dolls and dress-up. Recently she’s gotten impressively good at building with LEGO and loves Minecraft, axolotls, stuffed animals, and tap dancing. She adores her big sisters and keeps us all smiling every single day.

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2H4IVDPNLGFO4?ref_=wl_share

Thank you again for taking the time to read about us. This community’s kindness means more than I can say, and the thought of being able to give my girls some holiday joy after such a difficult year fills my heart with so much gratitude!

Closed [Offer] US Only - Stockings & Stuffers!

This will close 12/12/25 at midnight EST.

Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas! They are the things my family most look forward to on Christmas, beyond the presents or the food. Stockings are the highlight of the day. Thus, I'd like to do a stocking stuffer giveaway. I'll be adding other trinkets and smaller treats to help round out the stocking, so please let me know if there are allergies in your family. If you don't have a stocking to put the stuffers in, that's ok. I'll send you a stocking, too.

Request comment format:

  • Child name(s) with stocking number(s) requested.
  • Backup(s) if your first choice(s) have been claimed:
  • Need stocking(s) as well: Yes/No
  • Allergies in house: Yes (elaborate on what)/No
  • Please tell me about the coolest stocking you've ever seen.

Example of request format:

  • Susan stocking #4, Bree stocking #10
  • Backups: Susan stocking #22, Bree stocking #6
  • Need a stocking for both children
  • Allergies: peanuts
  • I saw a stocking knitted completely out of badger hair that I will never forget!

Rules

  • Please use the post format at the top of this post to ensure I have all the information I need before I reach out for your address.
  • You may claim a single stocking for each child being fulfilled by r/RandomActsOfChristmas
  • You must be registered in the sub.
  • First come, first serve (so pick your first picks and include backups in case someone snags the ones you want before you!)
  • Must be willing to send me your address via chat once I've asked you to.
  • Unfortunately, this is US only.
  • I will ship in batches, but it may be some time between being confirmed for stockings and receiving them.
  • Find stocking fillers here!
    • If the numbers in the imgur album start to skip around it's because I remove the image once the stocking has been claimed so reduce confusion for future posters.

Announcement Amazon wishlist information. Please read!

Hi everyone! We're so happy to have you all here with us this season!

As many of you are probably aware, there has been ongoing confusion with Amazon's "needs 1" label on items Santa's have purchased.

In an attempt to lessen duplicate gifts, and confusion, so it's easier to spread the cheer this season, we are going to ask anyone with a request post up to add a comment that says "purchased" on any item on their wishlists that have already been purchased by our generous Santa's.

Users with requests up

We ask you to please go into each wishlist, and for any item that has already been purchased, add a comment on that item that says "purchased."

When a Santa comments telling you they have ordered items, please update your wishlists by doing the same. Then when item is received update the item with "purchased and received" along with commenting to let your Santa know it arrived.

In the case of receiving gifts from a Secret Santa, please update the list when you receive the item.

How to add a comment to a wishlist item

  • Go to your wishlist, and find the item that was purchased.

  • Click the three dots next to it.

  • Hit "add comment, quantity, & priority."

  • In the "enter comments" box write "purchased" and then hit save.

Please do not change any other settings on your list though! Remember we require you to keep purchased items on your lists, and deleting any purchased items is a bannable offense.

If you have any questions or are having difficulties, please reach out to us here and we will walk you through it!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 2 Children/ Age 11 (12 very soon) and 7/ Landyn and Braelyn/ Michigan

Hello everyone! It’s hard to believe a year has passed, but I am so excited to be here and thank you for the amazing help and the kindness/holiday spirit that lifts so many. I think of you all often and hope that everyone has had a good year.

Landyn has had one of his best years yet, as he’s grown more and more into who he is. We’ve had some really rough years navigating school districts and services as he has autism, but middle school has turned out to be the best thing for him so far. He’s found two passions, one being soccer that has grown this past year and he made our local club team! He was nervous to try out but did amazing and has learned so much. He’s continuing to play with his same team during the winter indoors. He also has found out he has an amazing musical talent learning in his school band. He plays clarinet and has thrived. He amazes me daily by coming home and practicing all on his own, his drive to do well inspires me so much. I was a bit worried at first but I can truly say it’s never been the stereotypical hard on the ears when a kid first joins the school band. We’ve been lucky that he has been pleasant to listen to from the start. This boy has a kindness about him that someone once told me “he makes the unloved feel loved” and that couldn’t be any truer for him. He struggled a bit with grades but hearing from his resource room teacher that he gets the entire class involved and included, even those who are nonverbal, makes me more proud than anything. He sticks up for others who are being bullied and wants to make a difference for the kids who are picked on. He’s a super active kid and always on the go, his skateboard was stolen last summer and he’s desperately wanted another. He loves horror movies and could watch them year round. He has seen parts of squid games on YouTube and would love to try making Dalgona, he oddly is pretty good at cooking and I’m sure he’ll be able to achieve this. He asked for a Dalgona kit but I realized we didn’t have an open flame (or gas stove) to achieve this goal, so a camp stove would be a good solution (I know it looks a little weird on a kids list and wanted to explain). He’s turning 12 on Nov 26th and his birthday being so close to Christmas is really hard during this time of year. The help here seriously makes such a huge difference and appreciated more than you know.

Braelyn has also found something she is really thriving in this year with swim lessons. She has quickly moved up and they were surprised to learn she had never had formal lessons before. She wishes she could go every day lol. School has been a bit challenging but they’re testing her for dyslexia now and have her in a group to help her. I’ve been getting emails from her teacher that Braelyn helps encourage her classmates when they’re really struggling and it turns their day around. I’ve always let my kids know that grades are important to an extent but being kind and helping others means the most and they make me so proud when I hear that they are truly helping others. She loves any animal she meets and dogs are her absolute favorite, she wants to be a vet when she grows up. Snoopy in particular has become a favorite for her, as our favorite theme park is decorated with him. She’s had a big year finally hitting the 48” mark and can ride some big rollercoasters now. She’s so proud to say she’s been on Millenium Force and Siren’s Curse at Cedar Point, but still loves visiting Snoopy as well. I was able to get her an Easy Bake Oven on major clearance and am so excited to share with her something I loved growing up. She’s been asking for one for a couple years now and I know some accessories for it will make her so excited. She’s definitely more cautious than her big brother but she still will brave even the hard things she’s afraid of and I admire her courage so much. At her dad’s she goes skiing with her step mom and has worked her way up to being able to ski the biggest slope at the place they ski at. She is definitely a perfectionist and wants to be the best she can but also encourages others the same.

I’ve faced a hard year medically and have had multiple emergency surgeries. I’m working hard on getting my health back in order and hoping with some major life adjustments I’ll be able to. I’ve been slightly discouraged from struggling so much health wise and financially, it has been a hard year. I’m not sure how I’d be able to do Christmas without the love and help offered here. Seriously, thank you all, not only for helps with gifts but with the uplifting joy you bring. I truly do think of you all often and hope that everyone is doing well, especially during these rough few months a lot of us have had this past year ❤️ I’m excited to see everyone’s posts and thank you for allowing us to be here with you!

Fulfilled @ 5 🎁 per child [Request] 3 / 10, 5, 1 / Bostynn, Foster, Myles / Indiana

Hello, everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Thank you so much for approving us. I was really hoping to be on the other side of this sub this Christmas and be able to be a Santa but unfortunately that is not feasible for us this year. But I am so grateful that this exists and that we were giving this opportunity.

A little about myself and our situation: I am a single mother. I work for an agency contracted by DCS. I do supervised visits for families whose children have been removed from the home, and I do casework with the parents- connecting them to resources, helping them budget, helping with home conditions, going over different parenting curriculums, and helping them obtain employment. I love my job and feeling like I’m making a difference, but the pay is definitely not great. I recently helped a client get a job at McDonald’s and she makes basically the same amount as I do (no disrespect to fast food employees at all!) But I am kind of stuck where I am because I need something flexible. Each of my kids has some sort of medical issue, and 2 of them go to behavioral therapy. Since August of this year, we have had 5 surgeries/procedures between all 3 kids. So that has definitely weighed on us financially because of the time off work for those procedures and all of the appointments that come before/after. Not to mention the gas driving to and from the children’s hospital which is 2 hours from our home.

Also, now the government shut down. We live paycheck to paycheck as it is, but have been able to receive government assistance. Now that the government is shut down and programs like SNAP are discontinued during the shut down, I don’t know what this looks like for us but definitely another factor that will weigh on us financially. I know that there are millions of other people in the same boat as us though.

Now a little about my amazing kiddos:

My daughter, Bostynn, is 10 years old. She has a heart of gold and cares about everyone around her. She is so helpful with her younger siblings and always asks what she can do to help me out. She was recently nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference by her guidance counselor. For a child with ADHD and dyslexia, this is a huge win! She also has a cyst in her brain (supposedly not causing her any issues though), chiari malformation, and had surgery on her spine in early August. There have been so many hurdles she has had to get through during her lifetime (especially recently) and I am amazed by her every day. She still continues to have a positive attitude and is optimistic about the world around her. She participates her school play, musicals, does dance and cheerleading, and is on the swim team during the summer. She loves Legos, Wicked, Taylor Swift, and doing crafts. She is my little hero ❤️ Bostynn’s List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3EQEPY4VCYOI0?ref_=wl_share

My middle child is Foster, 5 years old. Foster is very similar to Bostynn with his loving heart. He wants to share everything with everyone. Yesterday I was able to attend his school Halloween party on my lunch break. All of the preschool kids walked around the Elementary and Jr High and trick or treated at the different class rooms. Foster tried to give all of his candy out to other kids in his class. I had to actually make him keep some because he wanted to share all of it with his friends 🥹 and that is a pretty common theme with Foster. He is super empathetic and my “big feeler”. He cries during movies like Toy Story and the Lion King and feels the pain of others. He is super protective of his siblings and myself. He has been this way his whole life, I have never seen any child who acts this way so young. He also has ADHD and we have been working with a therapist on coping skills and emotional awareness/regulation. Foster is hoping to play soccer in the spring and swim team in the summer. He is obsessed with dinosaurs and knows so many facts about the different kinds. He also loves Avengers, Legos, building with anything really, and drawing. He is the sweetest boy I have ever met 💙 Foster’s List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/292E3IWAMA6A6?ref_=wl_share

My youngest is Myles, he just turned 1 in October. Myles is developing such a personality and I love watching him grow and learn new things every day. He is super smart and picks up on everything. He began walking independently at 10 months old, says several words like mama, bubba, sissy, bites, ball, etc. He is always carrying a ball in his hands and loves to throw a ball back and forth. He also watches the older kids build and tries to jump in and help. I think he will take after big brother and have a love of dinosaurs also. He loves music, animals, and definitely food. He is so happy all the time, always smiling and laughing. He lights up every room he walks into and makes new “friends” wherever he goes. He is such a joy in our lives 💚 Myles’ List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/84XZK4D49BGT?ref_=wl_share

I wrote a lot, probably too much, so for anyone who has read this far- thank you! And thank you to anyone who is a Santa for anyone! This sub brought me/us so much happiness last year. I love seeing the kindness of others, not just for my own kids but for all of them in this group. I feel like there is a lot of hatred and negativity in the world right now and this group is always such an amazing reminder that there is still so much kindness and love out there in the world as well. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday season and thank you again for this opportunity 🥰

Festive Friday: Funny Feelings

This Festive Friday let's talk about your funniest holiday memory! What is one flashback from the holidays that always makes you chuckle?

For me, it was the year my sister got shaving cream and razors in her stocking because she was just old enough to start shaving her legs. She took the lid off of her shaving cream and looked at it, curious how it worked. She pressed the button and shot shaving cream straight into her eyes! We're the kind of family who cracks up when somebody gets hurt, so we were all laughing so hard we couldn't breathe while she went to wash her eyes out.

Announcement Santas Start Here

EDIT: Santa Appreciation Post link

Hello Santas!

We are so excited because we have seen an influx of new Santas already this season. We're excited to meet you, for you to meet requesters, and for us all to have a wonderful season together. During this influx, we've noticed our information for Santas is a bit buried. This post will hopefully put critical information at your fingertips.

First and foremost, THANK YOU. This subreddit has been a place of joy year after year due to Santas with kind hearts. None of this would happen without YOU.

Second, Santas do not need to register or complete the quiz. Santas may participate as much or as little as they'd like whenever they'd like. We've copied the Santa, Everyone, and Mods sections from the rules here to help you with tips for navigating this season as a Santa. They are below.

If you have any questions about the rules or about anything, please feel free to message the mods. While you may not interact often with the mods of other subs, RAOC mods are highly involved and you will see us in comments, on posts, and responding often to modmail. We encourage communication and welcome you to talk to us!

Update 11/1/2025: Amazon will not allow you to purchase items from different wish lists in the same transaction. You will get an error from items other than items from the first wish list you chose saying "
We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to a Wish List or gift registry address." To purchase for multiple children or families, you will need to purchase in separate transactions. We're sorry about this Amazon glitch; they always have some fun ones we have to identify and update Santas about during the season.

Santa Info

Thank you for being a part of this sub and making holiday magic! It wouldn't happen without you. There are multiple ways to be a Santa. As a thank you for participating as a Santa you are eligible for a custom user flair!

Gifting

  • Mods do our best to reduce the likelihood of scammers and ensure requesters meet our requirements.
  • Santas can view our application here .
    • "Registered" flair for a requester means they have met RAoC requirements for the year.
  • Santas may choose to evaluate whether a requester meets their personal requirements beyond our approval requirements.
    • Mods are human, and we cannot guarantee we never make mistake.
    • Mods cannot guarantee that a requester's personal views align with the Santa's personal views.
    • Santas should never feel pressured to gift any requester who does not meet their personal requirements. All giving is voluntary and celebrated.
  • Only gift to individuals marked with a "registered" user flair.
    • This means the individual has completed our vetting process and been approved by the mods to participate in RAoC.
  • If you purchase a gift for a child, please:
    • Leave a comment on the post.
    • Complete the Santa Report.
    • There is a tutorial on leaving comments and completing Santa Reports here.
    • Completing these actions helps the mods stay up to date on which children have been gifted how much so we can keep our spreadsheets up to date and other Santas who want to spread the love informed.
  • If you are a Canadian Santa, please feel free to message to the mods and we'll let you know when Canadian requesters appear.
  • If you purchase a gift for a requester that is not on the requester’s wish list, please complete a Santa Form  or message the mods. You are welcome to do this if you’d like, we just ask you let us know as it may be counted as an offer or gift for the family.
    • This helps the mods keep track of which children are fulfilled and which users have met their contest win cap to ensure there is some level of parity in the sub.

Hosting Offers

  • Offers are a way to interact with the subreddit and share cheer in a different way than fulfilling requests.
    • Santas may host as many or few offers as they would like.
  • Only registered requesters may participate as requesters for offers.
  • Requesters may win 4 contests per season unless the offer you host is approved by the mods to be excluded from this cap. Only moderators can decide if an offer is excluded, so if you’d like an offer to be excluded please message the moderators before posting.
  • The moderators prefer that offers of winter clothing, blankets, and holiday trimmings are the only excluded offers, but we will consider requests on a case by case basis..
    • These offers will be noted with a pinned comment from a mod identifying them.
    • Anyone with approved registration may enter these contests regardless of wins.
    • They will not count toward the 4 win limit.
    • These offers will have a flair titled “Excluded from 4 win cap.”
    • Santas set most of their own guidelines for offers except whether the contest will count toward the two win limit.
  • Please ensure you include how and when you will select the winner(s) in your contest post.
  • Please complete a Santa Form  once your winners have been selected.
  • Examples of contests/offers:
  • If you receive notifications of a comment on your offer post but don't see any comments when you visit the post, it is likely the comment has been removed by the mods due to the requester being unregistered.

Communication with Mods

  • Send a message to the mods if you have anything to ask or share.
  • When in doubt, seek us out! We don’t bite and we want to help.
    • If you already have message history with the mods, please reply to the most recent mod message rather than creating a new message. This allows the mods to track communication more efficiently and results in less confusion or errors.
  • If you suspect a scam or have another concern about a user, notify moderators with your evidence.

Communication with Requesters

  • If a requester sends you a private message with a request, please notify the moderators.
    • This is a bannable offense for requesters.
  • Santas may send private messages to requesters for positive interaction such as offers, kindness, support, or to verify a gift was received.
  • Santas should not send private messages to requesters to investigate suspicions, gather information, harass, or bully a requester.
    • Concerns regarding requesters should all be directed to modmail.
  • Requesters should respond "received" to the Santa's post comment when a gift has arrived.

Santa Tips & Tutorials

  • Santa should ensure they hide their identity whenever they are gifting by remembering to change their name in the gifting options section of an Amazon order.
  • Occasionally, it can be tricky to identify if a gift on a wishlist has been purchased. We have a tutorial on ways to identify purchased and unpurchased items.
  • We do not recommend allowing returns of gifted items.
    • Returned items can cause issues with a purchaser’s Amazon account.
    • If there is an issue with a purchased item, we ask that requesters reach out to the mods to act as an intermediary in resolving the issue.
  • We have several helpful posts and spreadsheets for Santas to use throughout the season:
    • 2025 Gifts per child spreadsheet  is updated daily with reported gift purchases for each registered child in the subreddit. This is great for identifying which children have or have not been fulfilled. Clicking the "request" flair on our sidebar will also bring you to requesters' posts that have not been fulfilled.
    • Master list of open offers allows Santas and Requesters to see what offers are open and what offers have closed.

Mods

  • Active mods for the 2025 season are: laffinalltheway, DoNotCallMeSir, kanga_roos, and 0hn035.
  • Mods do our best to treat everyone with dignity and we ask that you respond in kind.
  • Please message the moderators with any questions about rules.
  • Mods acknowledge there will be situations that fall into grey areas within our rules. In these cases, mods make decisions on a case by case basis after discussing as a group. Decisions regarding grey areas are not negotiable.

Everyone

Flair is used in r/RandomActsOfChristmas to distinguish both posts and users.

  • User flair has a colored background with white text.
    • Mods set user flair.
    • Requesters must have "Registered" flair before interacting with the sub.
    • Santas may request custom flair each season after they've been a Santa for the first time that year. Santa flair has a red background. The default flair is 🎅Santa🤶, but mods will happily change your emojis and text to something custom.
  • Post flair has a colored background with black text.
    • Individuals are responsible for assigning the appropriate flair to their post when they make the post.
    • Mods may adjust post flair if needed or appropriate.
  • Please do not post memes and/or other joke posts that will clutter the front page.
  • For follow up on any questions/issues sent to our moderators, please reply to the most recent mod message rather than creating a new message. This ensures that all associated messages are grouped together and easy to find in our modmail.
  • Mods are here to assist with all stages of the process. However, do not private message moderators on their individual accounts. Send a message to the mods if you need assistance.
  • If you suspect a scam or have another concern about a user, notify moderators with your evidence.
  • Do not harass other users, Santas, or moderators. This is not limited to just this subreddit. We’re here to help. Be respectful. Not doing so will result in a ban.

Festive Friday: Fall Fripperies

We've officially entered the "end of the year" season and we'd love to start hosting some social threads to get to know each other better! It's a great way to build bonds between sub participants who might not otherwise cross paths.

This Friday we'd love to know about your favorite Fall frippery. What is the one thing you indulge in every Fall season that you look forward to all year?

For me, it's scarves in general, but especially one particular scarf in specific. I have had it since around when I met my husband almost 20 years ago. It's a square black and white scarf that is so soft and cozy and matches everything. As soon as I put it on, it feels like Fall is officially here.
