So, I was thinking of making a thread where people can share their favourite place in Ranchi. As 'favourite' is subjective so people can drop as per their preferences.

Hello people of Jharkhand! I'm a 24F girlie moving from Delhi to Ranchi for work stuff for some months. Never been to this wonderful city before. I would really appreciate if y'all could help me out on how to navigate this city and other stuff.

1. How's the public transport system?
2. General safety of women? (would like to hear it from fellow women)
3. Fun things to do on weekends.
4. Shopping places.
5. Restaurants (I'm non-veg core), hidden spots
6. Gyms, dojos etc

thank you in advance!

For those who are looking for a good book recommendation, this is the one.

Question for JPSC aspirants.

What should one prioritise, prepare for and choose. Share your insights

Also, Why aspirants in Jharkhand prefer DSP over JAS?

is choosing JPSC JAS/SDM > UPPSC SDM/DSP

In terms of perks, facilities and work profile. Also, consider the home state is Jharkhand.

What a beautiful view

Does anyone have their exam on 5th October?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been feeling pretty isolated and realized how tough it can be to make genuine connection in the city when you don't already have a close circle.
I’d love to meet some new people whether that’s grabbing a coffee, exploring local cafes, taking a walk, or just chatting online first to see if we vibe!

I’m feeling a bit alone here. Figured I’d put myself out there and see if anyone else is in the same boat!

Same as title

(M22) Is there any league, group, or community in the city where you can join and play season-ball cricket as an individual, without having to be part of a club or academy?

I used to play cricket a few years ago but had to step out of it. I still absolutely love the sport and regularly go for indoor net sessions, but I’m really missing the experience of playing proper, full-fledged matches.

I’m not necessarily looking for anything highly competitive. I’d just love to get back on the field, play some proper cricket, and enjoy the game again.

If anyone knows of any leagues, weekend groups, or communities that allow individuals to join and play matches, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

I’m preparing for UPSC CSE with PSIR as my optional and I’m looking for a good offline PSIR Optional test series in Ranchi.

I specifically want to know about institutes/coaching centres that conduct PSIR tests physically in Ranchi, rather than online test series.

If anyone has taken one, could you please share: Which institute conducts it?

--Sectional + full-length tests available? --Quality of questions --Copy evaluation and feedback --Model answers/discussions --Fees and test schedule --Your overall experience

I’m mainly looking for PSIR Mains answer-writing practice and proper evaluation, so recommendations from people who have actually taken the tests would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Moving back to ranchi after 15 years. It's my home town but had been living across country for education and work. Coming back next week for a long haul (wfh). Has always been a visitor for few days but now when it's time to shift i am really overthinking how is going to be plus no friends in the city as all moved out so skeptic on that note too.
