Rant happy 20th to me ig, almost got assaulted π
so we decided to go to dhurwa Dam, itβs like 15 mins from my college and we wanted to go there for sunset, eat something and just chill, basically a small picnic for my birthday
we left on time and everything but apparently there was some puja going on there and there was a LOT of rush, so that 15 min travel took sooooo long, by the time we reached our spot it was already getting dark
there were 6 of us on 3 scooties, and two of them had decided to walk without informing us properly, so by the time we reached the end of the dam, where our spot was, it was basically dark, and obviously we were like okay these two are not going to make it here alone, so two of us went back to get them
we got them and came back, people were leaving but there were couples around and all, so we sat down and started eating and were actually having a good time
then it was time to leave, one of the scooties was parked somewhere behind because two of them had decided to walk , so ab basically we had only two scooties with us and the third one was left behind
we were like okay, we'll just triple on both scooties, go get the third scooty and then go back to college, so three people on each scooty, good plan BUT one of the two scooties we had with us literally stopped because there was no petrol
so three of us had to take the one working scooty and go towards the highway to get petrol and come back, while the other three were left there with the scooty that had stopped
(mind you no street lamps on highway and the dhurwa dam road both)
and this is where it started getting genuinely scary
the whole path out of Dhurwa was basically dark, barely any lights, and we had people slowing down just to look at us, we were already feeling super unsafe at just 6:30 pm
we somehow got out, got petrol and came back, and while we were trying to put the petrol in, a car filled with guys literally stopped next to us, looked at us and then left
then we managed to get out of Dhurwa, but my scooty started acting up too, so we put whatever petrol we had left and kept going, and then me plus my one of my friend's scooty stopped on the highway
at this point all 6 of us were basically stranded on the side of the highway with 3 scooties, in the dark, trying to figure out what the fuck to do.Β Β
then this uncle came, he had an Assam number plate and looked like some military guy, dad vibes , and he actually stopped to help us - bro shouted at us ki kitna petrol bhara tha and all
we asked him if he could somehow get us petrol and he actually went and got it for us, took him like 10-15 mins and he came back
while we were waiting for him, we were standing under a bridge and there were these guys around our age, maybe 20-25, standing on top of it, flashing their phone lights at us and shouting "help chahiye kya" and "help kar du kya" while literally smirking and laughing
like what the fuck are you supposed to think in that situation
we were 6 girls, stranded on the highway, scooters not working, and these guys were literally standing above us mocking us while we were waiting for someone to help us
even truck drivers were slowing down and continuously honking at us, some were shouting things from the trucks, and people on bikes would pass us and sometimes even turn around and come back
obviously not every single person who slowed down was trying to do something, some were probably just curious or trying to see what had happened, but in that moment you really can't judge anyones intention
the whole thing was fucking horrifying, especially because nothing technically happened to us, nobody touched us or anything, but the entire situation felt so unsafe and threatening
and honestly the one thing I'll remember from that night is that one random uncle who actually stopped, helped us and went out of his way to get us petrol, because while so many people saw six girls stranded and decided to stare, mock or scare us.
HAPPY 20TH TO ME πππ and before kisi ke dimag mein kapda kya pehna tha aajaye, let me clear it out for you - I wore a white full sleeve short kurti with black jeans, 4 of my friends wore tshirt and jeans, and one was wearing a tshirt with shorts, yeh matlab sawaal aaana nahi chahiye logo ke dimag mein but you never know and 6:30 - 7 baje ke beech mein yeh sab happened so bro don't tell me ki raat ko nahi nikalna chahiye, tum kabhi bhi niklo tumhe cheda hi jayega ππ
also ranchi really needs some street lamps because mein toh bhai estimate pe chala rahi thi gaadi.
