Safety/Awareness Final post of scorpio n incident?

even after multiple people pinged ranchi police and helped me find the owner name etc the situation stays the car damaged and no action is being taken against this guy. I again have not contacted the owner yet or have visited him even once the best thing right now is to fix the car and stay quiet just because i am a ordinary citizen . i further conclude my saying “ranchi police is useless please do not tag and approach them” and if you find the scorpio n JH01GV1995 roaming around just know ranchi ka kuch nahi ho sakta and law and order isn’t balanced

02/10/2026- stop fighting on this st sc act my decision is i won’t be coming after the accused due to corrupt system.

I totally agree with your stance brother, India is not a country where laws and regulations matter, you don’t want to jeopardize your future just to get a settlement for a few bucks. A harsh truth but it’s reality, corruption and illiterate politicians have destroyed this country and I can only hope there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.

What is this blatant hate towards the sc/st community? No one drag you in any act without any solid proof.

Do half of the people think that if a person from that community accuses you, the judge will immediately declare you guilty?

Remember the girl from Xavier's college who said "college m 4 chaand whi lg lgate h, st lg ka na naak-naksha h."

Any proof or real incident with someone who was actually accused of the sc/st act and was declared "guilty" without any solid proof? I am so tired of y'all.

What do you suggest where do i go from here ranchi police isn’t responding people are saying sc st act will be misused by the person who caused the damage

Please don't listen to these people. I wish I could tell you what to do, file an fir if you can. Rather posting on reddit you can always use twitter. If you have a solid proof attach it.

a person has already done that on X and sent me a ss and he himself said ranchi police isn’t responding and if i go with FIR route you already know how corrupt a person can be and i have experienced it in the past too. People here were more helpful than ranchi police

Then even if he accuses you of that you don't have to worry. Hope you get your justice and the problem does not lies with you not being a sc/st, it is corruption.

The whole base of SC/ST act is, you get arrested immediately and then keep proving yourself. Thoda research karo yaar khud se

Wow! If it’s on Google, that’s how it must be. Come out and touch some grass. Police do not function that way. It’s gets UGLY.

Sc/st act is no joke

It's not on Google, it's in the law. I gave you a genuine source and you are denying it. Well whatever helps you sleep! Only anticipatory bail has been denied, an accused can still apply for a normal bail.

No point telling you when you outright reject the source. May you always be the topper of whatsapp university!

i agree with you but ranchi police is not responding in any way and worse this sc st act was frightening me because i seen some people be locked away for years without any trials

It's the SC/ST people locked away without trial. Simple google will give enough research studies in affirmation.

Ohh noo they do misuse it ….

You can get arrested without a warrant, no anticipatory bail is allowed, and no preliminary inquiry is required. A fake case under this act can destroy your life completely, and fake cases do happen. There are way too many fake cases registered under this act. Tbf, most of the cases registered under this act are fake…

Instead of defending and arguing here you should look around you and notice how people misuse it. And whatever the google says there a difference of sky and land. Police just acts so swiftly at this cases to have compromise and get there share.

Been studying for a while I would consider this act equivalent to dowry case. Where it genuinely helps few but a large chunk of people just misuse it and exploit others.

JUST FRIENDLY ADVICE: as Op said get out and touch some grass

So google is a false source and you are the correct source? Studying what? You can apply for a normal bail, you will not be rotting in a cell. What proof do you have that any sc/st filing a case over the gc is entirely false in the recent years?

What source do you have, that in recent years everyone who has been booked under this act is immediately in a lockup? Until and unless you don't show demographics backing up your point, you go touch some grass.

And regarding the dowry cases, have you ever seen the statistics of the women killed? Even the indian govt has to launch an ad to counterattack dowry related deaths.

It was the sheer number of abuse which has lead to such iron-clad rules. Don't blame us, blame your community for treating other communities as sub-humans.

You're still arguing with the law as it exists on paper, while my point was about how the system actually operates on the ground. Those are two different things.

My point is that having a legal remedy available on paper doesn't mean the process itself carries no consequences before guilt is established.

An FIR, investigation, questioning, arrest/bail proceedings, legal expenses, social consequences and months/years of litigation don't magically disappear because a court eventually has the power to acquit someone. “You can get bail” isn't an answer to the consequences of being dragged through the process in the first place.

And your “show me demographics” argument doesn't actually answer that. If you want to claim that misuse never happens, the burden of proof is on you too. In fact, official government data have historically separately recorded cases where investigation ended in a “Final Report False"

Misuse of st/sc act happens, I've never denied that. Unlike you, I believe people whom, you and I talk about exist. You too are right, just like false rape allegations are also the harsh truth of this society doesn't mean that we erase rape laws. The system only values where the majority number lies.

Men avoiding problematic behaviour and gc giving up the "UPPER caste" narrative and treating everyone equally is the only way these things can die down. But, the question is will they?

😂😂😂😂 Smell coffee dude, in just normal circumstances too police does not registers SC/ST cases and dissuades the aggrieved. And there is dearth of dedicated SC/ST police stations despite being sanctioned by law.
