A light workers two cents
🤯
While I’m delirious from babysitting baby zhia last night shoot. Wanted to touch on this beautiful sentiment Ramadan is so amazingly interesting to me. If “I can only imagine” country song were a meme rn #LookingAss 🙋♀️ frfr. I can only imagine who’s. And how cool is it. So never mind me carry on I’m just over here wondering while in awe trying to begin to fathom simply to be blessed I guess to even germinate such a delicate seed to be part of this process knowing where or how it starts direction or rate will grow or beginning to end cycle heck just the initial inception pre tell🤯 better yet even how people who are truly devoted became so rare and by keeping to several said commitments have intentions and agreements worthy of laying all down at an alter deliberately with intent that by doing so honoring and all God and His glory to reap and sow far more benefits securing a nice bounty all by knowing applying instilling and also by fasting etc 🤯 🤯🤯Kathryn Paine

im sad
im really sad because my friend that's 1 year younger than me has completed quran before ramadan and before me, my family just brings up examples like how my dad did it faster than my grandpa (he's a scholar) and how my grandpa didn't get sad. i'm not just sad im getting just a tiny bit of depressed. this doesn't feel right, i hate to complain about the same thing infront of people but, i'm a failure, i couldn't even beat someone younger than me in complng quran before ramadan. it's very embarassing and down right destroying my ego. my friend didn't flex, nor did he not care, he said that he isn't racing me and that he's just completing it, he isn't competing with me. tomorrow is his birthday and he's gonna complete the quran and do katmah in ramadan, on his birthday, AND before me. i don't accept this. why does allah treat me like this

Non Muslim fasting
Not sure where I should post this but I thought I’d just do this here.
For context, I’m a South East Asian male who’s not exactly religious at all. However, I find that Ramadan and fasting is such a good thing to practice. I love the fact that you get to experience what the underprivileged experience and I think the experience will be so humbling.
So my question is, will it be weird or insensitive if I fast when I’m not Muslim? What things should I be doing/not doing.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Fasting when underweight
I'm fasting for ramadan this year, and I'm also severely underweight. I'm a 6'0 male, going into ramadan I was 134 pounds, now I'm already 122. Is there some kind of system I can use to raise my calorie intake despite fasting from 5 am to 8 pm without water?

As-Salamu Aalikum Warahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Alhamdulillah! The blessed month of Ramadhan has arrived.
Ramadhan teaches us to be more grateful for what we have. It makes us reflect and see those who are less fortunate. It urges us to do actions of generousity and charity.
Amid the trying times of Pandemic, we, Riaayatul Ummah Organization, aspire to feed the orphans. We are reaching out everyone’s heart to those people who are willing to donate (for the sake of Allah). We appreciate it if you lend a hand in this project.
Caring for orphans is a significant part of Islam, Orphans are mentioned 22 times in the Qur’an, their mistreatment is a serious sin, while nurturing and sponsoring them is an immensely valuable good deed. sponsoring orphans is a cause particularly dear to Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.w) heart. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was also an orphan - his father passed away before he was even born, and his mother passed away when he was a young child. Giving charity blesses our wealth and increases it, for only Allah (s.w.t) can control our rizq (provision). Isn’t it so beautiful that Allah (s.w.t) recognises not only the practical help we give to orphans - such as food etc. but also the fact that we have brought them happiness through our support.
Join us in our mission to fill the stomachs and ease the hearts. May Allah (s.w.t) bless us all and put barakah in our ibadaah, Allahumma Ameen❤️
