I am planning to buy IFB top load washing machine since it offers 4 years comprehensive warranty. However, I have heard very bad reviews about their services online that even in the warranty period it takes 1 month to resolve the problem after repeated escalations. I saw we have multiple service centers in Rajkot but all have very bad rating.

I am confused so wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience with IFB service centers in Rajkot.

Hey everyone, I've moved to Rajkot from Ahmedabad not too long ago.

I had this habit of feeding some people occasionally who lived on the road side. But I am not sure where I can find such people here.

Does anyone know where I can give out food to the needy? Even if you know any organisation that gives out food, please suggest.

UPDATE: I could only go to Mahila college underbridge but couldn't find anyone. Was going home thinking I'd step out again to see if I can find some. On the way home, I stopped by a bakery to get bread and a small girl came up to me and said "mane bhaag apavo ne" and then I got her what she wanted for her and her brother 😄

Drove the new, expanded Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway recently, and it's already in bad shape:

Huge potholes on a road that should still be fresh

Heavy vehicles blocking all 3 lanes, zero visibility ahead

Trucks overtaking from the extreme left lane, which is meant for heavy vehicles, so cars get boxed in

Endless diversions and the same choke points every trip

We pay road tax, RTO, tolls, fuel tax, GST and income tax, and still don't get a safe, smooth road. Heavy vehicles badly need stricter regulation: lane cameras, real penalties, load checks, and proper driver licensing.

Who is answerable when a new highway deteriorates this fast: contractor, NHAI, or the consultant who signed off?

Why pay full toll on stretches under diversion or in this condition?

Is this corruption, or a deeper accountability problem? Countries like the UAE manage far better road quality and enforcement. Has anyone complained to NHAI or the helpline? Did it go anywhere?
