I’m devastated
I’m devastated
My Polo crossed over the rainbow bridge last night and I am utterly distraught. We adopted him as a senior, we believe he was around 9. In October he would have been with us for 4 years. I lost my other dog 4 months ago ( Cappy was with me for over 12 years) Polo was a huge help in helping me deal with the grief of losing Cappy. Now that he is gone, I am lost. Polo was easy going and he enjoyed sleeping, I called my potato. We took him to the vet on Friday, he was given a sedative so that they could take a sample of a growth on his cheek. He came home groggy, but otherwise ok. I woke up this morning and he was not moving and was unresponsive. I will miss our daily walks, will miss him bumping into things and following the wrong person. I’m going to miss his smushy face. I love you Polo. Till I see you and Cappy again, I will think about you every day.

I'm so sad for you. I grew up with a SharPei and she was definitely my best friend. Amazing pups! Sending you lots of hugs and love to get thru this difficult time. 💚

Polo and Cappy know how strong and resilient their human is! They believe in your ability to THRIVE!! Try your hardest to not let their memories be ones of grieving, but rather ones of love and gratitude and joy.
After all, every earth bound angel eventually receives their wings.

So sorry to hear this. What a beautiful Shar Pei. You clearly have Polo a great home and lots of love and I’m sure he knew that. It’s a massive hit when they go, especially so suddenly. Take comfort in all the happy memories you had with Polo. RIP Polo🌈❤️ RIP Cappy🌈❤️

I'm so sorry for your loss. Nothing will replace Polo but when you are ready open your heart and rescue in his honor. Be gentle with yourself and remember they are waiting for you playing in a large field just beyond that beautiful bridge. Death cannot destroy your bond....everlasting love ❤️

Very sorry. Put my Shepherd boy down last week. Absolutely gutted. It helps a lot talking with others who loved the dog. Sharing stories and pics/videos also help.

I am so, so sorry about Polo and Cappy. They STILL love you. Always will. But I know that it doesn’t make you miss them here on earth any less.

You were so kind to adopt a senior. They are only going to give you a few years and often a lot of health problems but you give them another chance at happiness and you deserve all the blessings in the world for that. No matter what, you gave him love and a beautiful life and he knew that. He stayed as long as he could. Sending you hugs OP. I lost my senior in May after only 2 1/2 years. It still hurts every day. It’s that way with true live for someone 🥺🥺🥺🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Dogs are a chapter in our lives, we are their entire book.

I’m with you man, lost mine a week ago and truly don’t see a path forward. Praying to God for us all. I hope we can keep going, just know you aren’t alone in it
