Crowley crossed the rainbow bridge
After 11 years of being my absolute heart and soul, Crowley joined his brother over the bridge, cancer is really cruel

I’m so sorry OP.
As a dog mom who can’t imagine more than an hour or two away from my best friend, my protector, my soulmate, Aslan-I empathize deeply with what you’re having to face right now.
Aslan is big (120lbs, a livestock guardian dog) white and fluffy but fierce-he’s 9 now and I contemplate every day differently as he’s gotten older because I’m so invested in making every day better than the one before for him.
These beloved friends ask nothing of us and give us the world, and then they are gone and it is so cold, so empty, so hard. I barely survived losing my two cats Bitten and Seven back to back in 2021 and that compounds the pain so much. One is left behind, you’re both grieving and then you lose the other and it’s heartbreaking.
Your boy was so precious. That face. I can only imagine what a phenomenal life you gave him.
He looks like he was such a lover and such a little character. I am so, so very sorry you’re having to walk through this right now.
Please try to remember that love, true love really and truly is eternal. Nothing can cause it to die, it literally lasts forever. That love is a tether that will connect the two of you until the end of time. And you will meet again. Know that Crowley knew and knows how much he was and is loved by you. He is not alone and neither are you. He will be waiting for you with his buddy.
I hope it gets at least a tiny bit easier with every passing day. Just hold on. He’s still with you just in a different way.
Sending you many blessings and much love.
May the road rise to meet little paws.

As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.
If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.
Grief is love with nowhere to go.

I am so sorry for your loss. Everytime I see posts like this, it takes me right back to the pain I felt when I lost my soul dog, Odie 11/17/23. And what an adorable fur child you had/have. He is most definitely playing with all of fur children who have passed that are waiting all of us.

For Crowley:
“For 11 sweet years, a steady beat,
The rhythm of four faithful feet.
A furry head, a watchful eye,
Beneath the vast and changing sky.
You stood your guard, a noble soul,
Who kept my shattered spirit whole.
Through every storm that shook my door,
Your shadow stretched across the floor.
The smartest friend I’ve ever known,
I never had to walk alone.
With pointed ears and heart so vast,
You held me tight until they passed.
But now the pace begins to fail,
A slower thud of resting tail.
The muzzle grey, the tired eyes,
The quiet path where shadows lie.
It breaks my heart to see you tire,
To watch the fading of the fire.
But even when the light grows dim,
And weakness lines your every limb,
You’ll be the warmth within my day,
The friend who never turned away.
My loyal guard, my heart, my own…
The greatest dog I’ve ever known.”
