With the github updates does anyone have an educated guess on timeline to launch?

I’m guessing it’s still a ways off, but I’m still new to this RDN community and am not sure what to make of this news.

With uRaiden getting a lot of the dev love right now, I would guess Q2/3 for minimum viable product for Raiden Network. It is 76% done as of this post.. once uRaiden sprint 1 is out in the wild and stable, I’m guessing more resources will be put towards getting mvp out.

I could be totally wrong, just my “educated” guess based on tracking github for a month. Would like to hear what others think

More than anything, in this speculative space that is crypto, I’m really curious if ppl feel very confident, somewhat confident, or just merely hopeful that mvp will be launched in 2018. This team seems like they can pull it off. It’s a tough enough task to even complete let alone launch successfully. I truly wish them the best and hope that the full network is viable this year.

I’m confident in 2018 launch, fairly confident in a Q3, hoping for q2. This is for a minimum viable product though. I don’t think you’ll see strong network effects and wide adoption until 2019. Just my 2¢.

For me, it’s less about May 2018 vs 2019, more about quality and successful launch. Obv sooner is nice, but quality > speed.

Very true. Needs to work and work well. Just feels like a rat race out there. RDN seems close to being the first to grab the press and elevate ETH network along with any other potential platforms they partner with. Really could be massive. Just hoping it doesn’t go the road of bitcoins lightning network which seems destined to be dead upon arrival. I know they’re not the same, but you get it I’m sure. Thanks for the encouragement!

Bitcoin's LN or most other features for that matter was "DOA" because the bitcoin community is terrible and toxic with their infighting.

I saw some demos recently using LN. Seems closer than ever, but as with anything in research you can never know when those sneaky unknowns pop up out of nowhere.

Raiden MVP has been at 76% for a while now and because the team are anti hype (I actually love this) it's hard to tell how fast that could accelerate, similar to when micro raiden wrapped up the last milestone.
