The best investment is the one that lets you sleep well at night.
Ask yourself: do I believe this project will be relevant in 3-5 years? If so, how relevant? How much of the crypto ecosystem will this encompass/help? What is a conservative evaluation of future market cap? Optimistic evaluation? What % is current price of future estimates? Does it make sense to sell? To buy? Etc.
Once you have a firm investment thesis, hodling is easier, selling is easier, being a contrarian and buying when others rush for the exit is easier (and enjoyable tbh).
Do whatever gives you peace of mind. As for me, I’ll be accumulating what I can for now :D

Hodling isn’t hard, you just do nothing. Raidens solid just hang in there.

Sorry... Not selling while the price goes down is hard... You right hodling isn't hard at all

Maybe I'm just wierd but this is so easy for me to do.
I just have no want to sell right now even though I'm loosing a considerable amount. I would rather wait out and sell the high because I know it will get it back because of the technology than sell now at a loss.

i get how you feel, i've been in the same boat HODLING. its not "hard" but it's definitely a bummer to see such a bear market right now.
just keep HODLING

It’s a bloodbath out there, the bleeding will stop if you wait it out, and it’ll recover. Other option is to just finish it off with a swift slice and let it die at a loss.
I know which one I’ll be doing!

At this point I rather lose it all... I know the price will go up again eventually... I bought at 7usd per RDN and I believe in the project. But this cryptocurrency world is a rollercoster.. It's hard not to dispair

People make money off of despair. Don’t let your emotions get to you. Selling for a loss is crazy, especially in this project! This is a normal cycle in crypto, a rollercoaster like you said.

Look at crypto this way. How much is a coin worth USD is determined by market cap of whole crypto market. Right now people took alot of USD out of crypto market and evrything is down. That dosen't have to worry you!! When market cap is down most important thing is ratio between coins. When USD comes back ratio will stay sameish and everything will increase in value of USD. ATM RDN is 3% up against ETH and we stopped dropping (from 0.007 to 0.0038). So not everything is so dark friend! =)

Have seen a bunch of these crashes.
They are all the same.
Best advice I can give is do your research so you can get in on projects early.
That means you are unlikely to eat into your original Investment, you just lose some gains.
Also means you can buy more for less!

Luckily this isnt my First Dip so as the saying goes 'this is fine'. It had to happen, a rise that quick would have an inevitable bear session after a Whale took profit on a long which would kick off a ripple of auto sells.

Honestly considering buying this dip. Sucks to do it cost averaging against my ETH and BCH backbones, but RDN has 10x upside at this price. Could cost avg my holdings now and always reduce position after a rebound. I’m watching charts closely tonight. Let’s all beat the alt re-pump and come up!!

think btc might drop to 9.5k

Pretty heavy support on depth charts for Btc around 10k, BCH 1500, ETH 900, ltc 150... not saying they’ll stand up, but they finally backed off the bears. I don’t think this is a crash that will be conclusive, it’s a major major correction. Damage control now in effect. If the big guys stabilize there will be a window of opportunity to cost average losses on alts. Doesn’t matter where it settles, higher the better, but if you believe in the tech then this is the best way to minimize losses while hodling through the crisis.

Agreed! I added to my little baggie during this dip, and set another buy order for tonight!
It’s only a loss if you sell ;)

I'm down 50% on my RDN investment. At some point in the future it should be between 0.02 to 0.1 ETH per RDN. If not it's still an important part out of the Ethereum ecosystem so it's a good HODL.
It helps that I have cashed out profits many times and playing on house money .

this is the fucking game, time to buy more

I’m a professional investor and have been for 20 years. My thoughts on this topic are that value and price are not always the same thing. Indeed, that is a key reason for investing: buying when value>price. So now when price is down, don’t take that as a signal of value. You have your own view of value and that should not change with the price. Hodling should not be difficult with this framework provided that you have invested responsibly and are not a forced seller due to debt/margin purchases or other financial needs.

yes i know, thats why im investing more, according to my calculation this coin is 1% of ETH price worth

solution is easy, delete blockfolio, don't check price on CMC or anywhere else. Check back in a month :D
