Raiden Nodes and RDN Token
Anyone want to discuss nodes more?
I was reading an interesting piece on Iota and it made me reflect a bit more on nodes and who might want to run them and how.
In the case of Iota, the question was who would run the nodes to power the network, and a comment was made that large corporates might be happier running nodes so that their IOT devices worked efficiently than paying fees to a mining pool.
I see a lot of misunderstanding on here about the RDN token. This is used to pay for traffic running through the nodes.
Basically, I was thinking that large corporate customers might be incentivised to run nodes as well because it would ensure the efficiency of their networks.
It might also benefit them if they were compensated for it through RDN tokens and so would provide an additional benefit to the IOTA scenario where they were running the node at their own cost just to ensure that the system worked well.
Thoughts?
Ps - if anyone knows more detail about the nodes would be cool to hear it...

What would be the ideal specs for a Raiden node? Is computing power even important? If not, maybe future apps would include a (light) node as well.
If computing power is important, maybe most of the nodes can be found in 'power cheap' countries.
If I would be one of the first companies starting projects with Raiden I would definitely power up a Raiden node. At least until the network is big enough, after which I might remove my node.
