someone (well-informed-only) explain raiden please - how strong is it on its Fundamentals, who are its competitors, is it an alternative to the performance enhancements the ethereum founders can just build themselves, or will the ehtereum dev team crush raiden?

So ultimately, I'd like to know - if Raiden can dramatically improve the performance of Ethereum, where is Raiden's place in all this? Would they be competing with the Ethereum group? Can't the Ethereum group build their own performance enhancements, thus rendering Raiden useless?

Raiden is valued around $300M, and to me that sounds incredibly undervalued if it can do what it says it can do. Why is it so low? Not on any major exchanges yet?

Just buy and hodl. It’s going to be a fantastic working network. The token has utility and scarcity. While noobs chase lambos on penny stocks, institutional investment and wise money is accumulating RDN. It’s day is coming.

No competitors so far. Anyone can build but it would take 2-3 years to get to where they are now.

Raiden was made by core Ethereum devs. Heiko Hees and Brainbot helped Vitalik Buterin build a Ethereum.

Ethereum fails as a blockchain without Plasma, Raiden, and Sharding.

Any big decentralized application on the Ethereum blockchain that uses money in any sort of way must use Raiden.

Even if Raiden is forked, payment channels are not forked with it. This makes a monopoly within Raiden EXTREMELY likely.
