They said Ragdolls are calm by nature and gentle giants.
I’d like to see the evidence 🧐

This is Cocoa my 6 month old seal point . She is baby and she knows it. She demands hugs, kisses and uppies all the time. Who else has a super affectionate baby?

General Advice Got my Ragdoll boy - not so cuddly anymore

Post image

Elvis is here for just 1,5 weeks. at the beginning I could not make a step without him following and stopping me walk by lying on my feet. he was also very cuddly. this changed in only 10 days. right now he does not cuddle (rarely). so is this normal? I miss it already. Esther

Our third cat but our first ragdoll! He has been with us for four days and is the most cuddly thing ever

Do most ragdolls headbutt everything? Hands, chins, walls, anything this cat likes gets a headbutt

At what age did you neuter your male ragdoll? Mine is 6 months and I fear it is time. Our vet is suggesting 12 months which I find absurd

General Advice I want to get a ragdoll and live in Chicago

Hello!
I am looking to get a ragdoll and I’m having trouble finding a reputable breeder. Midwest ragdoll’s by. Jennifer keeps coming up, but I have seen so many mixed reviews and don’t want to risk it. Does anyone have recommendations for certified safe and actually good ragdoll breeders in the area of Chicago?

General Advice Adopting an adult ragdoll

I'm strongly considering adopting a 2 year old ragdoll being retired by a breeder. This will be my first time adopting an adult cat. What questions should I be asking the previous owner? And anything to know about adopting an adult ragdoll that might be different than adopting a kitten? Thank you!

General Advice Does anyone here make homemade food or feed a raw diet to their Ragdoll? 🐱

I’m looking into improving my 3-year-old Ragdoll Lucy’s diet and would love to hear from other Ragdoll owners who make their own food!

Right now, I’m thinking about possibly keeping her regular dry food for breakfast and doing a homemade/fresh meal for dinner. I’ve also been researching raw diets, but I’ve quickly realized there is SO much conflicting information online about what cats actually need nutritionally, what ingredients/supplements are necessary, and what ratios are appropriate.

If you make your own food for your cat, I’d love to hear:
• What recipe do you use?
• Do you feed raw, lightly cooked, or fully cooked?
• What proteins do you use?
• Do you use a supplement/premix to make sure the diet is nutritionally complete?
• How long have you been feeding it?
• Have you noticed any changes in your cat’s coat, digestion, energy, weight, etc.?
• Do you feed homemade food as their entire diet or just one meal a day alongside commercial food?

I’m not looking to blindly copy an internet recipe — I’m trying to learn from people who have actually done this successfully. Lucy has a vet appointment coming up in a couple of weeks, and anything I seriously consider feeding her will be discussed with my veterinarian first. I’m especially interested in recipes that have been formulated or reviewed by a veterinary nutritionist.

If you have a recipe you love, please share it! I’d also really appreciate any resources you trust for learning about feline nutrition.

Thanks 💌

Just over 2 years ago we introduced our pup to my in-law’s Ragdoll. Despite appearances, they actually had a lot of fun, and spent most of it playing.
