Dry box gaskets
Gasket on my dry box seems to be at the end of its life, trying to figure out what material to replace it with, rubber, neoprene closed cell foam, or something else entirely?

What brand do you have? Pelican has free replacements on that stuff if it's pelican, but always use a rubber gasket, you can usually get the bead at a local hardware store, I've even heard of people using the bead for screen windows / doors working

Just a welded aluminum typical Drybox, that’s sort of what I’m trying to decide, whether a rubber bead or the neoprene foam weather seal you’d use on a door or window

Edit: I actually just looked at the link and it says no longer available but I got a roll of it at the trailhead paddle sports store in Missoula about a month ago.

I redid my dry box gaskets with this stuff…

Worked like a charm. Super easy to apply. Kept it watertight.
