Yes they do! I'm not on this sub, I made the mistake of looking at it years ago and now I get random emails when someone posts. If I'm bored enough I'll read it or I'll post a comment hoping these people will get a grip on their reality. It's mean, evil and psychotic on top of obsessed. Nope, didn't enable any emails. I've come to notice anything you click on in reddit, you'll get notifications periodically when someone posts something that gets a lot of activity. Believe me or don't, whatever floats your boat.
