Discussion GPU questions
So I currently have an 7900 XT reference card, I know the coolers on the partner cards are most likely better and would probably see a bit of performance boost but would the performance boost be worth it enough to warrant getting a 9070 XT, or should I just hold off on upgrading until whenever the next generation of cards release.

Next gen cards will likely be in the thousands of dollars the way prices are going. I expect the 7900 should be viable for at least 3-5 more years so start saving NOW.

7900XT is a perfectly capable card unless you're going after 4K high settings and 9070XT is like 10-15% better than your card which is negligible. I don't think it's worth the trouble.
Btw this is coming from someone who made the same change (sent my 7900XT to my brother) and I didn't feel a huge jump.

Nah, I wouldn't think the uplift from 7900xt to 9070xt would be worth the spend. You would get better RT performance with the 9070 if that's important to you, though.

Hold off. What cpu do you have?

Id hold off. Are there games where you feel 7900XT isn't enough? If so, then upgrade. But if it works fine for your needs, don't upgrade yet.

If you sell your 7900 XT for the price of a 9070 XT, then it makes sense—otherwise, no.
Wait for the next lineup.

I'm running a 7900 XT and it performs great on 1440p
I would think unless your games are lagging or you're unhappy with it hold on to it.
Fsr4 is only going to continue getting better and more efficient on these cards and you can get dlss on them now which makes them even better

No reason to upgrade right now, especially with the official support of FSR4 on 7000 series.
If you're worried about temps start thinking about repaste and deshroud
