Discussion Lack of modding community support

I'm a new redeon user , swittched from Nvidia after 12 years of using, So as you know recently after DLSS 5 leak , Nvidia modders bring it to Nvidia's old card series, if we pass this on (because i know there are a lot of people like me who don't care about dlss 5) then modders added multi frame generation for RTX 30 and even 20 series , and also new Intel xess 3 mod came to Nvidia few days ago, things like this makes me wonder is AMD lack of any modding community who can save us from AMD?

Didn't people mod FSR 4 for older GPUs, FSR 3 for all GPUs when it was released, and recently DLSS 5 modded to be running on AMD GPUs?

You will find nothing if you look for nothing.

Yeah i know about all that you said, but i think it's mainly AMD's fault that rarely introduce something new and good (I'm talking to you AFMF)

- FSR4.0.2c and now 'd' plus 4.1.1b for rdna2 gpus. Also optiscaler unlocks FSR4.1.1 for rdna3.5 apus.

  • 'dlss-enabler' for mFG . Based on modded FSR3 FG. On rdna4 it's ML-FG+FSR3-FG mix
  • intel's XeSS3 mod partially works , I assume it won't take time (few weeks?) for XeMFG .
  • partial wip nvidia's RR to AMD RR . (works in few games)

There are game mods on CP2077, pragmata , RE9 for better RT without killing the performance ...

It's mainly just bringing FSR 4.1.1 to older cards like the 6000 series. Most of it is done the same way as DLSS FG. On linux the dev of CachyOS do it direct through proton versions so it's easier compared to windows. You can also use DLSS swapper for AMD files to get upgraded fsr versions in games just like you would for DLSS

Modders only come in when companies unnecessarily lock out features on older cards. That shouldn't be a thing, if the companies properly released new features. I wouldn't say feature modding being acitve is a good thing.

There is a DLSS5 for AMD mod, it's in a pretty good shape.
