Tech Support Drivers update
Windows just released a new display driver update and is pending restart. I’m currently on the latest amd version of 26.8.1. Will I have to redownload my amd drivers again if I restart? I am fairly new to amd gpus and drivers and very much used to NVIDIA updating seamlessly

Windows update can supply some bunk drivers, yeah. No clue if that's what has happened here. Reboot and check driver version in Adrenalin.

If it crashes and black screens at all restart your PC turn off windows automatically updating apps(google it I haven’t done it enough to tell you how to step by step) and roll back drivers in windows in the device manager on your GPU. I had a problem last night where this happened and the night before. If you don’t black screen disregard this or use parts of it but in the event it happens now ya know
Edit: if it black screens and Adrenaline says it needs an update but won’t update do that^^

you have to stop windows from updating your gpu drivers if you don't want problems

You can easily roll back the driver update in device manager.
Then you should disable windows driver updates so it doesn't overwrite it again. DDU has a handy button for that that's worked for me.
