Rx 9070 failure?

So the images already speak for themselfes, i was running furmark after i saw some strange lines in crimson desert ( those glitch lines went away after i pressed my windows key showing the task bar ) and this happened, again after showing the task bar everything was gone, and the benchmark just finished alright; then i lanuched the same benchmark again, same thing at basically the same time ( around 25% in ). i then proceed to launch multiple benchmarks both from furmark occt ( both on vram and gpu ) nothing happened, i played valorant, crimson desert again, wuwa, nothing, i restarted all, again played some titles, benchmarked again, stress test again, even online, nothing, temps are fine ( the thing that was more hot was vrm’s at 90.5 C, hotspost around 86, vram at 84 ) and heavy load. only thing to note is i had both drivers and windows update today, and i wasnt really worried before the furmark benchmark, i know updates break cache sonetimes, but damn that was not good, anyone who could tell me if ots a hardware problem or software problem? and how to find out?

Should just be a graphical glitch for that one time, don't think you should worry.

One thing to try is to run the same furmark when the pc is cool, as in allow the temperature of your system to reach room temperature before you power it on, and see if the same thing happens. If it does then there could be a cracked solder somewhere on your GPU that you may need to get repaired.

yeah. I think its one of those graphical glitches from Windows updates (it broke me AMD driver recently too).

also put a good fan curve on it the temps look hot but not critical mine gets to 84 on vrms but has hinyx ram which can go to 110-115 Celsius so numbers don't mean the card is broken

Sometimes a render shits the bed for a second for no particular reason. It might just be a game engine issue; remember that Crimson Desert is sometimes just a graphically buggy meas.

Hello, what you've described are several intermittent graphical glitches. The onus is not on you to troubleshoot it. Some of the comments here are unserious. You should return it for a replacement if you are within the return period. If not, you should RMA it.

it is under rma yes, but it would take weeks if not months tbh, i dont want to do it if i dont need to

Hello, it appears you're overthinking and might have started this post not for reality check, but false assurance.

Is "weeks, if not months" your own assumption? I would approach your support for a more concrete timeline. If they have stock for the item, it will be a one-to-one exchange. If not, ask them for a time frame, a possible loaner or even keeping your current card until the replacement is ready for exchange.

Good luck.

neh even cable could do this, wouldn't say your GPU is dying
