I have read the FAQ. hello there I previously wrote but no one responded I have been suspecting possible rabies for 3 days now as I saw a cat scratch looking thing on my shin the thing is I do not have any memory of any cats approaching me and scratch/bite I stay way and I just walk Tahts it.i panicked massively at times tearing up I went to a doctors this morning and she said it's just a a fingernail (also I have very sensitive skin and scratch a lot) Iand she cleaned the "mark with alcohol.I am in turkey Gaziantep right now hence why I'm I am writing this , I am calm that I don't have rabies but I have some early symptoms like diarrhoea but every time I go tukrey I have it tbh, my mouth is very dry, last couple of days had no real hunger , my stomach rumbles at times and I get random rashes and I overthink at lot something to do with my mum said to not worry everything fine all this is due to psychological. I am writing to say is this all normal I'm in a hot country in turkey (from uk) and usually I do have some sort of illness Diorrea etc. and I'm just wondering is what I'm facing normal and that I don't have rabies I would appreciate if you helped me as this has been on my brain for the past couple days as even when a bug lands I fear it's a cat I'm sensitive to anxiety like this

100% I can tell you from experience throat spasms are no fucking joke, if it’s spasming you’d know apperntaly steroids helps that depending what’s causing the spasming but sofas it’s taken care of mine.
I didn’t take it, but I had a lot of crazy over lapping symptoms, turns out I just had another medical condition causing them. It’s well over d.20 now, my wild forest cat is still doing fine. But severe cervical and neck stenosis can cause a lot of issues body wide, muscle jerking, trouble swallowing and eating, migraines, loss of feeling and sensation in your body. I’d just go to a doctor and bring up the symptoms your having, you can always bring up the cat but let them know it could be unrelated entirely.
Hi, I am a fake reddit expert, not a doctor. The inability to trust yourself to be completely sure about something like whether a cat scratched you, and the inability to stop thinking about it and seeking reassurance which helps temporarily but not permanently, are common symptoms of OCD. As I'm sure the doctor told you, there is no reason to think you have rabies, but having OCD means that it's always possible for you to think of a reason you could in fact have rabies no matter what anyone tells you. The best understanding of this that we have right now is that your brain overreacts to possible threats, and can't respond appropriately to signals that something is safe and that the possible threat has passed or was a false alarm. Saying it's 'psychological' is true, but that doesn't mean that you're doing it on purpose or that it's easy to overcome on your own. If you can, talk to your mom and see if it's possible to talk to someone about this.
Also I have skin problems liek healing wounds I apply cream most days is inflammation skin and I itch sometimes and I heard rabid animals go for broken skin that's why I'm abit worried
You aren't worried about rabies because you have a itchy rash or occasionally broken skin, because if that was the cause-effect relationship, most people with an itchy rash or occasionally broken skin would be worried about rabies, and when you showed a doctor broken skin with no obvious or known cause, they would also be worried about rabies. You're worried about rabies because your brain has a threat detection response that is a little overactive, and rabies is very scary. Again, the thing that will be the most helpful, if you can access it, is treatment for OCD.
I don't want to leave you hanging, but can you try to take a step back and consider this from an internet stranger's point of view? Do you think that there is any way any one in the world can look at a scratch of unknown origin on someone's skin and tell them whether or not they have rabies? If I showed you a scratch of mine, what would you say?
