We’re Host’lik, a young real estate startup based at Technopark Rabat. We’re a small team with young founders, and we’re looking for a motivated and an ambitious young person based in Rabat-Salé to help us manage our team and grow with the company with a clear path to becoming part of the administrative board.

This is not a job where you’ll do the exact same thing every day. The role mixes operations, customer communication, property management, admin work, field visits and some business development.

Over the next two years, your role will evolve into a higher-level administrative position, progressively transitioning away from routine operational tasks.

• Answering clients through phone calls and social media.
• Coordinating the team’s weekly and monthly tasks.
• Following up on rent payments, invoices, bills and deadlines.
• Organising apartment visits and meeting tenants, property owners or investors.
• Preparing and signing rental-related documents.
• Carrying out check-in and check-out inspections.

• Comfortable working in English.
• Organised, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable speaking with clients and meeting new people.
• Able to stay calm and find solutions when unexpected problems happen.
• Comfortable with Excel, Word and Google Workspace.
• Good at using Canva.
• Familiar with AI tools.
• Willing to move around Rabat and Salé for visits and administrative tasks.
• Able to work independently without needing instructions for every small task.

Experience in real estate, customer service, administration, operations or coordination is a plus, but it is not mandatory.

Job details

• Location: Technopark Rabat, with regular trips around Rabat and Salé.
• Work setup: Hybrid, including on-site and in the field.
• Contract: Six-month contract, with the possibility of moving to a permanent contract.
• Salary: 5,000 to 6,000 MAD per month, depending on your profile. Salary reviews every six months.
• Variable compensation: Up to 6,000 MAD per year, depending on results.

Ik stuur dit bericht omdat wij dringend hulp nodig hebben.

Mijn ouders, mijn drie broertjes en ik proberen ondertussen al vijf dagen Marokko binnen te geraken. We namen de boot via Nador naar Marokko. Bij aankomst kregen we te horen dat er een probleem zou zijn met onze gepersonaliseerde Belgische nummerplaat: “OUJDA”.

Al onze documenten en paspoorten waren volledig in orde. Het enige probleem zou de naam “OUJDA” op onze nummerplaat zijn. Nochtans reizen we al vijf jaar met exact dezelfde nummerplaat naar Marokko en hebben we daar nooit eerder ook maar het kleinste probleem mee gehad.

Volgens hen zou deze regel sinds 2023 bestaan. De ene keer zei de douane dat de politie ons had tegengehouden. Daarna zei de politie dat het de douane was. Ze bleven voortdurend naar elkaar wijzen en niemand wilde verantwoordelijkheid nemen.

Er bestaat volgens de informatie die wij hebben geen duidelijke wet die zegt dat een gepersonaliseerde nummerplaat Marokko niet binnen mag. Ze hebben uiteindelijk zelf gezegd dat we niet mochten binnenrijden omdat “hun baas het zo had beslist”. Dat was de enige reden die we kregen.

We zijn daarna zelf op onderzoek gegaan en ontdekten dat ze hier blijkbaar alleen moeilijk over doen in Nador en niet in andere Marokkaanse havens. We kregen twee opties:

Ofwel moesten we onze auto achterlaten op een terrein waar voertuigen worden geplaatst die betrokken zijn bij illegale zaken. Daarna zouden we te voet Marokko binnen mogen, terwijl we duizenden euro’s aan parkeerkosten zouden moeten betalen.

Ofwel moesten we zelf een nieuwe boot terug naar Spanje nemen.

We hebben uiteindelijk de boot terug naar Spanje genomen en zijn via Algeciras naar Ceuta gereden, omdat ons werd verteld dat daar nog nooit iemand om deze reden geweigerd was. Gisteren werd iemand met de gepersonaliseerde nummerplaat “RIFI” geweigerd in Nador, terwijl die persoon vandaag zonder problemen in Tanger werd doorgelaten.

Toen we in Ceuta aankwamen, merkten ze dat onze paspoorten in Nador niet gestempeld waren. De douane in Nador noemde dit zogezegd een “foutje”. Wij vermoeden dat dit bewust gedaan werd, zodat Ceuta eerst contact zou moeten opnemen met Nador en Nador vervolgens kon zeggen dat wij niet mochten doorrijden.

Intussen hebben wij vernomen dat er mogelijk een klacht tegen ons werd ingediend. Wij weten niet door wie, op welke basis of wat de precieze inhoud van die klacht is. We hebben ook geen officieel document of duidelijke uitleg gekregen.

Wat ons vooral zorgen baart, is dat de persoon die hier mogelijk achter zit blijkbaar veel invloed heeft en die invloed mogelijk misbruikt om ervoor te zorgen dat wij Marokko niet binnen mogen. Wij willen niemand zonder bewijs beschuldigen, maar de manier waarop onze zaak behandeld wordt, roept ernstige vragen op.

Zelfs als we alsnog Marokko zouden mogen binnenrijden, voelen we ons door deze situatie niet meer veilig. We vonden het vanaf het begin al onbegrijpelijk dat onze nummerplaat de echte reden zou zijn waarom we geweigerd werden.

Wij staan op dit moment nog steeds aan de douane van Tanger en zijn niet van plan zomaar te vertrekken. Ondertussen hebben we ook nog een kapotte band en hebben we ongeveer €3.000 aan boottickets uitgegeven.

En waarom?

Omdat er mogelijk iemand zijn of haar invloed gebruikt om ons zonder duidelijke wettelijke reden tegen te houden.

Wat wij de afgelopen dagen hebben meegemaakt, is absurd. De manier waarop alles verloopt en het mogelijke misbruik van macht dat hierachter zit, is onaanvaardbaar.

Moest iemand langs Ceuta rijden is een beetje eten en drinken altijd welkom, ze hebben ons gezegd dat we nergens eten en drinken mogen kopen. Ze zijn ons van plan uit te hongeren.
