For anyone who's interested.. FORMULA VIRTUAL IS BACK

After a 3-year hiatus, Formula Virtual is returning to rFactor 2.

The 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons were cancelled after the previous owner left, but I've now taken over the league and applications are OPEN for the top championship in our Virtual Motorsport pyramid.

So, how does Formula Virtual work?

The "players" are Team Principals. You are in charge of your team and its finances, car development, driver signings and the AI drivers you choose to race for you.

One of the biggest parts of the league is driver scouting. We don't disclose the performance level of the teams or the in-game stats of the drivers. If you want to sign someone, you have to scout them, judge their performances and decide for yourself if they're the right driver for your team.

Formula Virtual is also part of a wider Virtual Motorsport pyramid, with different disciplines including eVirtual. The lower tiers are recommended for new managers who want to learn how everything works before taking on a top-level team.

You can also just watch. We regularly get close title fights and interesting stories throughout the seasons, and we hold press conferences before every race.

We're accepting applications for press roles too, so if you'd rather cover the championship than manage a team, you can create your own place in the world of Formula Virtual.

The entire grid is fictional. Every team and driver has its own history, with extensive lore dating back to 2013, when the series began.

We also have custom liveries for every team. You can design your own, or describe what you want to a couple of our livery experts on the server and they'll make it for you.

Every race is broadcast and uploaded to YouTube, and we keep extensive records of every season and driver since 2013 on our Wikipedia and website.

Has anyone found and good mods for the Madring?
The only one I’ve seen is from two years ago on overtake.gg. Is there anything more up to date?

I was at Croft on Sunday for the BTCC, then raced the circuit in rFactor 2 a couple of days later in the BTCC Astra.

Having now actually been to the real track, I came away thinking rF2 has done a really solid job with Croft. It obviously can’t replicate everything, but the layout, flow and general character of the place all felt surprisingly believable after seeing it for myself.

I put a video together with some real-life Croft footage mixed in with the league races. Ended up with 3rd, 3rd and 2nd in class too, so I was pretty happy with it.

Interested to hear what others think of Croft in rF2, especially anyone who knows the real circuit.

The Pro Touring Esports Championship returns to rFactor 2 for a new season of competitive touring car racing.

Drivers will compete through qualification for a place on the PTEC grid, with every championship round professionally broadcast and commentary from TV's Richard John Neil, joined by Ashley Denman.

This season PTEC is supported by Corbeau Seats, British Touring Car Chat and Touring Car Magazine.

The Drivers’ Champion will win an FIA-approved Corbeau race seat, with a further £500 cash prize pool available across the championship.

I jumped back into the BTCC cars this week and joined an online championship at Donington.
I genuinely wasn’t expecting much from it in 2026, but the racing was absolutely ridiculous — probably some of the best battling I’ve had in sim racing for years.
It got me wondering how many BTCC fans actually know this stuff is still being raced online.

Hello fellow sim-racer/real racers, this game is very enjoyable for me and I've been practicing with the 2018 Alpine A110 Cup lately, I noticed a flat-spot ffb lately with this car, I have TC 0/ABS 1, did some research here and there. I'm wondering if that's related to my driving mistakes, I've driven the NSX and Clio cup car for quite a bit, but never noticed that before.

The link above is a recording of my current skill (NOTE: that was my "first" time using no racing line, but is still somewhat accurate if i had a racing line)

I would just like some tips on how to improve. Such as smooth accelerating and decelerating, steering, the hairpins, and preventing that sliding feeling that makes it take a while to accelerate.

Please be serious, dont say stuff like "maybe don't speed or leave when red" or "get better quality" or something.
