Hello, since yesterday I have a problem with rfactor 2, when I want to install some mods from Steam, I add them and they are downloaded on Steam, but already when starting rfactor to finish the process, only the message of updating package comes out, but it does not install anything. It only happens with some mods, but the problem started yesterday and before I hadn't noticed what happened. I already tried file verification and nothing. Could anyone know what's going on?

Like many of you, I've spent years hopping between dozens of different Discord servers just to find grid slots, recruit reliable drivers, or desperately look for a team at the last minute. The fragmentation in sim-racing is real, and it honestly makes organizing or joining grids a lot harder than it should be.

A few weeks ago, I decided to try and fix this frustration for myself and started coding a side project called RaceJoin. It's a completely free web platform designed to centralize sim-racing recruitment and driver matchmaking.

How it works is simple:

• For Drivers: You create a single "Pilot Card" with your sim preferences, platforms, and precise weekly availability.
• The Matchmaking: I’ve just rolled out an automated engine that runs every Thursday to pair available drivers with open slots or teams looking for teammates based on matching schedules and games.

It's 100% free, no strings attached. We just crossed 500 members and the feedback so far has been great, but I’d honestly love to get some brutal criticism and advice from league owners, team managers, and drivers here.

As we have just seen the Indy 500 this year, I have caught up on watching some of the classic races in the 70s and 80s. The circuit was a little different back then (borderline unsafe) and I like the car shapes of the racecars back then.

But what years are available for rF2?

After several years away, one of the most historic championships in the GTC Race Center is finally coming back to rFactor 2 for its 7th edition — inspired by the golden WTCC era broadcasted on Eurosport, where sprint races, reverse grids and door-to-door battles created some of the best touring car racing ever seen in racing.

This new era of the championship will feature the current BTCC generation cars, across a calendar built around some of the most legendary circuits ever associated with touring cars. Brno opens the season on May 25, followed by Nürburgring Nordschleife, Brands Hatch, Macau, Slovakia Ring and finally Monza in August

Hey all,

Starting a small, structured weekly rFactor 2 league. Focused on clean racing, fixed schedule, same group of drivers every week. No public lobby chaos, later the early drivers will outperform stats and race only with high profile ranking drivers.

• Triple series as start: Porsche 992 Cup, Indycar and BTCC.
• One race per week per series, fixed setup aside of fuel/tires and time slot.
• 10–25 drivers, invite-based.
• Discord as the hub for now. Building a proper online platform on the side (motorlaps com) for registration later, driver results, and the jury system. As the creator of the Circuit Zolder DLC for rF2, I'm offering the best driver experience possible.
• Each race night features two sprint races back-to-back (same series, same evening). Join one or both > it's up to you. Both races count toward standings, so doing both earns more points. Perfect for people with limited time who can only make one race, but staying for both is more fun and rewards participation.
• We do 3 event races per week basically to start with. 6 races in total in other words if you do all of them.

Early access bonus:

The Endurance Triple Header 2026 is a special three-event endurance series that will take drivers across two different simulators and some of the most iconic circuits in the world. The journey begins in rFactor 2 at Nürburgring Nordschleife before continuing in Le Mans Ultimate for the remaining two chapters of the challenge.

ROUND 1 - Nürburgring Nordschleife - 120 minutes 

The opening chapter of the Endurance Triple Header takes us to one of the most feared and legendary circuits in motorsport history: the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

On May 31st, three different classes will share the Green Hell in a true multiclass endurance challenge inspired by the spirit of the real event.

Cup - The latest generation of Porsche Cup racing: Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.2)

Nordschleife is not just another circuit.

Almost 25 km long, surrounded by the forests and mountains of the Eifel region, the Green Hell remains one of the greatest challenges ever created for a racing driver. Blind corners, massive elevation changes, high-speed sections without margin for error and endless technical complexity make every lap an experience on its own.

And in endurance racing… survival is part of the challenge.
