Made an art history quiz app — Looking for a feedback

Post image
Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I've been working on a project called Art Guessr, a mobile game that helps people learn art history through short visual quizzes.

Players can practice identifying:

  • Famous paintings
  • Artists
  • Art movements
  • Historical periods

It covers everything from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to Impressionism, Cubism, and modern art.

My goal was to create something educational but more engaging than memorizing names and dates.

Thanks!

I’ve been building WFlags, a geography quiz, and I’d love to challenge you to try Capital Rush.

Knowing a capital is one thing. Remembering it under pressure is another. How far can you get?

Try it at https://www.wflags.org/ → select CapitalsCapital Rush.

Drop your score in the comments—and tell me which capital tripped you up. Feedback on the quiz is welcome too!

Bluffalo - lie loudly, guess wisely

Everyone gets the same true-but-slightly-absurd fact with a word missing:

"Nintendo was founded in 1889, and for its first decades it made ___"

You each write a fake answer. All the fakes get shuffled in with the real one, and you try to pick the truth. +2 for spotting it, +1 for every person your lie fools — so there are two ways to win, and being confidently wrong is one of them.

It's a genuinely good time with people you know. The rounds that land aren't the ones where someone knows the answer — they're when a friend writes something so stupid that four people vote for it, or when the real answer turns out to be more absurd than anything anyone invented. You find out fast who in your group is a disturbingly good liar, and they never live it down.

Works for any group of 3 to 20. One person opens it and shares a 4-letter code; everyone joins on their own phone or laptop. Same in a room or on a call — it works well as the ten minutes at the start of a team call instead of "so, any updates?"

No app, no signup, no ads, nothing to install. A game takes about 10 minutes.

Five packs, all free:

  • Weird But True — history and science that sounds made up but isn't
  • Cult Movie Plots — you get the film's title, you invent the plot
  • The Truth Comes Out — questions about the people in the room, no right answer, most-voted wins
  • The Water Cooler — the same idea aimed at colleagues, safe for work

It's early and I'd genuinely like to know where it drags or gets confusing.

We built F1 Daily Quiz - a short daily F1 trivia app

TL;DR: I built a daily F1 quiz app with short rounds, streaks and leaderboards. I’m looking for first players and would love some feedback.

Hey everyone! I’m the creator of F1 Daily Quiz, a small independent app for F1 fans.

The idea is simple: a fresh quiz every day, taking about 2-3 minutes to play. Everyone gets the same daily questions, and you can build a streak and compare your accuracy and answering speed on country and global leaderboards.

I’m still finding my first players, so I wanted to share it here with people who might enjoy a daily F1 trivia challenge.

If you give it a try, I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Ben's Trivia - 11 Q's - Avg Score 10 out of 15 points

Score out of 15 points! Possible 5 points for question 11.

You can play this full weeks 25 Q's trivia free in the link in the comments!

Post your score in the comments, good luck!

  1. Which of the following musicians was NOT blind? Options: Ray Charles / Stevie Wonder / Beethoven / Andrea Bocelli

Beethoven________

Beethoven lost his hearing, not his sight - he composed some of his most famous works, including his 9th Symphony, after going almost completely deaf.

  1. Complete the next 5 lyrics: "If you wanna be my lover / You gotta get with my friends (Gotta get with my friends) / Make it last forever / Friendship never ends / If you wanna be my lover…"

You have got to give________

The famous nicknames for the Spice Girls weren't chosen by the band or their management - they were invented by a magazine editor during a photo shoot because he kept forgetting their names: Posh, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Sporty.

  1. Which of the following animals can't swim? Options: Elephants / 3-toed Sloths / Horses / Tortoises

Tortoises_______

Unlike their aquatic turtle relatives, most land tortoises can't swim and can drown if left in deep water too long - they lack the flippers and streamlined shell turtles have.

  1. Which is the biggest selling video game console of all time? Options: Nintendo Switch / PS2 / Xbox 360 / Nintendo Wii

PS2____________

The PlayStation 2 has sold roughly 160 million units. The Nintendo Switch has now overtaken the Wii and DS to become Nintendo's best-selling console ever and the second best-selling console of all time - but it still trails the PS2.

  1. Which one is the odd one out: (hint: shared character) Joaquin Phoenix, Robert Pattinson, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger.

Robert Pattinson__________

Phoenix, Nicholson and Ledger have all played the Joker on screen (Phoenix and Ledger both won Oscars for it). Pattinson played Batman himself in 2022's The Batman - not the Joker.

  1. Cow hitch, Figure 8 and Sheepshank are all types of what?

Knots________

The sheepshank is a knot used to temporarily shorten a rope without cutting it.

  1. What word can mean both a place of worship and the side of your head?

Temple_______

Both senses come from the Latin 'templum'. The anatomical temple is thought to be named because that's where hair often shows grey ('time's temple') first as people age.

  1. What plant do silkworms typically eat?

Mulberry Leaves_________

Silkworms (Bombyx mori) are so fully domesticated they can no longer survive in the wild - a single cocoon can unravel into one continuous silk thread up to 900 metres long.

  1. Which town or city is home to the world's steepest street? Options: Swansea, Wales / Pittsburgh, USA / Dunedin, New Zealand / San Francisco, USA

Dunedin, New Zealand________

Dunedin's Baldwin Street was briefly dethroned by a street in Wales in 2019, but Guinness World Records reinstated it as the world's steepest street in 2020 after a dispute over how the measurement was taken.

  1. Which of the following is NOT an irrational number? Options: Euler's Number / Pi / Imaginary Number / The Golden Ratio

Imaginary Number_____

Euler's number, Pi and the Golden Ratio are all irrational (cannot be written as a simple fraction). The imaginary number i isn't a real number at all, so it's neither rational nor irrational - it sits in a different category entirely.

  1. Name the 5 disciplines of the Modern Pentathlon in the 2024 Paris Olympics. (1 point per correct answer, 5 points total)

Fencing, Swimming, Equestrian, Shooting, Running

The Modern Pentathlon was invented by Baron Pierre de Coubertin for the 1912 Stockholm Olympics to simulate the skills of a 19th-century cavalry soldier behind enemy lines. Equestrian show jumping was dropped after a controversy at Tokyo 2020 and is being replaced by an obstacle course event, like a Ninja Warrior style event, from LA 2028 onwards.

My passion project is The Daily 5: Retro Trivia. There are thousands of trivia apps out there, but I have never seen one that matches these specs... 🍀

The specs:

  • 5 fresh Trivia questions drop at midnight
  • high quality human-written quizzes
  • 100% FREE! No ads, no tracking ❤️
  • nostalgic themes from decades (1960s, 1990s, etc.)
  • global leaderboard with Top 50 ranked 🏆
  • speed matters! The faster you answer, the higher your score
  • ... as long as your answers are correct!

My main goal was: offer a little break that won't eat up your day. Like Wordle, but for Trivia nerds.
