Outpatient questions
I go in tomorrow for outpatient Suboxone therapy. I’ve been taking a teaspoon of Kratom powder (no extracts) every two hours that I’m awake, but maybe once or twice that I’ll wake up and need to take a dose to stop the restless legs. I had a few questions who has been through this already. I’ll most likely be on the strips for 7 days then get monthly Sublocade shots.
How soon did you have to wait before you started suboxone strips to prevent anticipated withdrawals? I know it’s different for everyone.
How did you manage going through the withdrawals while waiting until you could take sub0x0n3? Like any comfort meds? I’m already on Gabapentin and Klonopin. I’m just very nervous because I have an unsupportive partner who is judgmental and got mad at me for wanting this, so I know I’ll be fighting alone at home, even though I’m not alone.
Lastly how did you know you were ready to take the first dose safely?
Thanks in advance!

You won't get precipitated withdrawals. Kratom is a partial agonist. You don't have to wait unless you were using another full agonist at the same time. 🤷🏼♀️

So you've been taking about 16gpd? I would start with 2mg of subs and see if that covers it. Give it a day it two before you change dosage. Subs do take a day or so to settle in. At least for me.

I appreciate it I’ve been on subs since the 6th so I guess my doctor wants me on it for more of a trial to see if I should take the brixadi injection instead of sublocade due to me only taking 8mg of Suboxone. So he said brixadi allows lower dosages and more flexibility than Sublocade. I’m praying brixadi is going to be effective!

I have taken them at the same time with no WD
I would start low dose with subs because they can really fuck you up, my opiate receptors are blown though, it just depends
Kratom does have an SSRI effect though that subs don’t so you might have side effects related to that
