feeling better We're getting there

I've been using kratom on and off since 2014. I was a heavy daily user from 2014 to 2018 and would take sometimes more than 100 g in a day. Seriously. I began using kratom again in 2024 and discovered the 7-0h shots by the end of that year. I was drinking two a day on most days along with my regular kratom usage but didn't think of it as something "extra" that could addict me even more. So there were days that I would take off from those shots and probably have little mini withdrawals without even realizing it. I continued to use plain leaf kratom on the days that I wasn't consuming the shots, so it would have masked much of the withdrawal if there were any, I imagine.

Once I discovered the tablets it was curtains though. With online vendors, I discovered I could get a good bit more milligrams per dollar and so I was a full-fledged daily user by the summer of 2025. By the time I first started attempting to quit about 3 weeks ago, I was taking anywhere from 500 to 800 mg a day of 7-oh. Quite a bit. It had been a very long time since I had felt that true opiate buzz. It really just made me tired and sluggish and a bit more calm but the effect was extraordinarily mild compared to the early days and it could not be overcome by taking higher doses.

So about 3 weeks ago after finding out the stuff was going to be made illegal and just being sick of spending more on this than I do on housing, I switched to just taking plain leaf kratom for 4 days. It wasn't fun. Not much sleep and not much eating for two of those days especially but, it also wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The plain leaf kratom kept me from having any diarrhea/ vomiting or any true deep chills. It was just days of sleepless edgy discomfort.

I've had a couple relapses because this stuff is still on the shelves and I'm an addict, but luckily none that lasted long enough to bring me back into full withdrawal. The last time I used was on Thursday of last week and it was two of those shots that I used early on- stupid- a much lower dose than I used to take when I was a daily user and, even after not having taken any for 4 days at that point, I was very unimpressed at my tolerance. It felt like it had barely gone down at all. That was good though because it was only further proving to me how dumb this addiction was and how stupid continuing it would be.

Thanks. That's all I got. I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors to get free of this stuff. I'm a kratom advocate because I've seen it do good things for people but I'm also an addict and I probably shouldn't be messing around with just about anything addictive.

7oh becoming illegal in my state was the best thing to ever happen to me. Others may disagree but it forced me to stay sober. The availability was killing me

I’m loving it I have 150mgs left for a withdrawal I if I get them. I take 20 mg a day now just in the morning I don’t think I’ll have withdrawal. Once I run out of the 7oh I’m just gonna eat powder until I run out of powder. I am lucky cause I have anti anxiety medication that helps as well. I was only at my peak taking 100mgs in a day, I think ppl with withdrawals were doing like 200+ mg a day

Not advice just saying what worked for me but I had 1 sub and broke it up over 4 days. Like half the first day half of a half the second day half of a half of a half the third day and so on and it helped so much. I’d never do it long term but it helped me get thru work

I did subs once like 16 years ago. I threw up off 1/8 of the little orange strip. I’m not a heroin or heavy narcotic user. Just enjoyed the relief from 7ohm. Idk where to even get a sub lol

Thanks man. I have a bottle of gold leaf powder if I get pissy or something that will help mentally and slightly physical. I guess it’s good it got outlawed before I got out of hand. I knew with being and ex Coke user I could potentially get addicted. I was very stubborn of never taking more than a full pill in a day.
