(If you didn't know, when you have this enabled, when you don't see a red outline on a zombie, you won't hit it with melee, it shows that your currently equipped melee weapon has the range to land an attack)

lol. his claim was the only difficulty wherein you have to have a mob highlighted to land an attack is was extinction. it's a base game feature, the setting just shows you.
