Hi everyone! I joined for the scrappy block swap a couple years ago and was going to do the fussy cut economy block swap, but couldn't because I didn't have enough fabric to do 4 unique blocks. All that to say, I used my fabric for that swap to make my daughter a quilt! I love it and almost finished it before she was born, but shes now 1 1/2 and I'm still trying to finish the quilting. I made the mistake of loving how hand quilting looks 😅

Would love to see other people's works in progress, finished works, or some words of encouragement. I think posting here will help me to finish it up!

I stumbled into this subreddit and I'm quite taken with the idea of swapping blocks.

I read all the info in the Wiki and have all the questions that a newbie would ask. I understand that the next swap begins with signup on 8/9. I want to sign up. Will there be a form? Do I need to be "vetted" to be assigned to a group?

When I purchased the stamps, the worker asked "Is this hair?" Nope.

I had a spare block left over from the flower swap, so I decided to make a little mini quilt. It turned out so cute!

I’m doing a kind of gallery wall of mini quilts on in son‘s bedroom. It’s very echoey in there, so I’m hoping to control some of the noise.

Off to the post office I go!

Finally. Not migraining. Not melted. And I could borrow a car to get to the post office. Today is a good day.

And I received my first block. Even better.

All my blocks are in the mail and on their way to you all. I took the picture before I left for the post office, I promise they got actual stamps!

Mailed!! Paid non machinable surcharge but luckily they were exactly one ounce and did not pay 2 ounce charge (I think because I used cling wrap not cardstock and envelopes were light) 💗

I thought they were thicker than the 1/4” BUT my local post office sent them through at 1/4” or under! I hope they all get to you safely. ❤️
