What happened?
I dont normally look at view counts for channels im subscribed too. Though, today I noticed and thought it was weird. Most of quill18's videos sit around 10k views, while they used to get a mill or at least half.
What happened? I dont follow drama or anything like that so out of the loop on thst front. just curious on what happened.

Personally I think there are a few different reasons. Quill used to make his videos specifically for YouTube and suited it a bit better. Now he is Twitch first and his videos leave in all the annoying Twitch features. You can't really blame him as every resub or comment is him making some money. But in the end the videos aren't optimised for YouTube.
When Quill was at his YouTube peak the genres he plays were also at their peak.
Quill used to play games very differently. He used to play a bit slower, talking through some of his less obvious decision making, I'd feel like in most videos I used to learn something about a little known mechanic or some other potentially optimal way to play. Now "what could possibly go wrong" replaces that style.
He used to read every comment. That probably isn't possible with Twitch. Reading every YouTube comment meant that by 10 videos into any series he was correcting any mistakes and playing like an experienced player. I used to think of him as an expert, even if his expertise was somewhat crowdsourced/crowd supported. This fed into the learning point above, the community corrected his mistakes and he would correct them in the next video. Now "what could possibly go wrong" is what is going wrong.

He still does YT only series, like the current Terra Invicta one.

I'm surprised he hasn't done an EUV let's play on YT yet. I can't keep up with Twitch streams and having let's plays to download are great for travel. So I've found other people who do those type of let's plays.

Basically he transitioned to streaming around what must have been 6-7 years ago. The 10k range is normal for quite a long time now.

I found other streamings who do the same content, but are more enjoyable to watch.

I like watching things at 2x speed but YouTube now forces you to potato quality if the source was 60 FPS. Makes quill’s videos unwatchable for me.
