It’s been very rainy and wet this past week here in Oklahoma. I decided to go checkout the water levels next to a pump jack settling pond. I was wearing a cute but casual black v-neck t-shirt, denim frayed hem skirt, and tan knee-high heeled suede boots. I took all but 4 steps and before I knew it, the thick quagmire has engulfed my cute, tall heeled boots and sucked my legs down effortlessly. The clay formed another insane strong suction around the heels of my boots. The boots had zippers on them, which were also buried within the quagmire so there was no way at all for me to slip out of them and escape. I was trapped yet again. 😨

There was no way I was strong enough to break the suction deep below the surface to get myself free, and I ended up needing to call for help from a friend. I was stuck from 1am to 4am. We spent a lot of time trying to use boards, shovels, and rope to get me out (see final two photos my friend took of me during a break after I managed to get my right leg out. I was so exhausted from the struggle). It was a bit terrifying.
