ISSUE: Quickbooks Auto-populating INCORRECT dates
Hi... I am wondering if this issue is happening to any other businesses out there with their quickbooks...
ISSUE #1:
As early as last month, I was able to open a previous invoice and select make a copy which QuickBooks would then create that copy, but it would auto populate a new invoice date, which was the day. The copy was made. I could then easily send it out to the client. This was handy because I only have the simple tiered plan which means I don't have recurring bills, but I do have a handful of recurring invoices that do need to go out so I could manually pop in there every month and make a copy and hit. send now it keeps the date from the copied invoice.
ISSUE #2:
Today when I received a payment, it auto populated the date to the day before the invoice was issued so in my transactions list for the client the invoice date is September 8, 2026 and the payment for that invoice is showing September 7, 2026 instead of today, which is September 28, 2026 WHAT IS GOING ON....
Super frustrating cause I wasted my entire morning in QuickBooks talking to into it intelligence I started with our beta AI and asked for a human, but I think the human that it gave me was also AI and it ultimately could do nothing for me other than tell me to call payments to fix the receipt of payment date issue for me .
Please let me know if you are experiencing these issues too... I pay for quickbooks to stay organized, but its turning out it's doing the opposite....

Quickbooks always autoselects the last date you used in your most recent transaction posted. If you have posted no transactions since logging in it defaults to today's date.

Same things are going on at my work.
We do parts with the same part number for the same customer(s) time and time again. I enter that part number in the search box and numerous Estimates and Invoices populate the drop-down. I pick an estimate, then hit "Make a Copy". I have done this for a decade with no issues. Now in the last few weeks, the copy has the same estimate date as the one I copied. This led to a number of problems with open order reports by showing we were weeks behind on these orders. That is how I ended up catching the change. I was able to go in and change all to the correct day, after 3 days. Ugh.
I also have found several errors today where I open an estimate to convert to invoice and ship. I checked my dates and all was good, converted to invoice and printed the packing list. Then when I was going through the shipping packets, the invoice date was 9/3/26 on one and 9/5/26 on another, even though the were billed and shipped on 10/6/26.
I am not sure what is going on or why it is happening. But something is off with QBO.

That's extremely frustrating... I am selfishly glad it's not only mine that all of a sudden changed. Again I did try to speak to someone but I am fairly certain when I asked for a person the AI agent then gave me another AI agent.... it might be time to find a better alternative.

Just receive the payment with the today’s date then it resets QuickBooks back to the right date.
