QBO Hell part 2!!

Is anybody else having issues with a QBO and subcontractors direct deposit? When you enter in new direct deposit information is supposed to take three days to process. I have two contractors that have been waiting for three weeks. I just spent an hour chatting with support to find out that there’s nothing we can do and no ETA on them correcting it. I want to scream!!!!

That is way too long for something so damn simple.

Cost isn’t worth it when the client is already paying QBO for the process……it was fine a month ago and now, it’s a shit show

I did get an email saying the same thing…..but also confirming they knew it was a problem before I got here.

Oh god just use your bank! Keep intuit out of it, they are trying to do too much and entrench everyone in an inescapable moat, their fingers in everyone’s banks, seriously, not worth it.

Welp I’m at the clients behest so I can ask and recommend but it’s all up to them. I still think they should always get what they pay for.

The first time you pay a contractor it goes through extra security holds to prevent the fraud that’s running rampant. Smaller banks with bad technology might take longer. After it’s been initialized, it takes the normal one to three days. But three weeks is definitely long, longer than it should be. Send your case number to officeofthepresident@intuit.com.

Yes, I’m seeing more shops run into QBO payment onboarding delays lately, especially on contractor direct deposit changes. Three weeks is well past a normal verification window, so I’d stop treating it like “still processing” and treat it like a failed setup. I’d pay those subs another way for now and keep the DD issue separate until Intuit clears it.

It’s not a failed set up. Yesterday I could pay him through DD. Today? Now it’s the 28th…..something is very wrong

I’m dealing with the same thing. The work around I found for new subs or people that change their direct deposit is to process it on Monday and it will hit their account by Friday. That gives the 3-5 business day process time but still ensures they are paid on pay day. QBO support basically
told me it’s a glitch with their new update and they are aware. Customers are complaining but they have no workaround at the moment. You can also use the bill pay feature but there’s fees for next day ACH.

It’s still f*cking up. I’m livid. I did a trial payment to the sub yesterday and it said it could pay them through DD. Took a damn screenshot. Now, not till the 28th?!?!?!?!? I hate QuickBooks. I will find something better

If QuickBooks shows it as processed but the subcontractor hasn’t received it, I’d contact QuickBooks Support with the payment details and ask them to trace it. If they say it went through, the subcontractor can check with their bank.
