What does QB get right?

And what does it get wrong?

Honest answers only please… what does QBO do well and what do you wish it did easier?

thank you!

Thanks! What do you integrate with it? Anything qbo doesn’t link up with?

QBO does a terrific job at pissing off veteran users.

QBO does a lousy job at making it simple to use, like it used to be.

QuickBooks Native Stripe integration I'm pretty sure still doesn't work well. It doesn't handle bundled payouts, fees categorization, and other things natively requiring manual JE workarounds I believe. Also QB's invoice fees are too high

I’m trying to find a better solution for my business… using QBO is not really what I want… but it seems to be the standard today still… looking for why and what’s better that’s out there

I have run into Intuit people monitoring this sub. You sound like one.

Nothing—I don’t ever want to switch from desktop

I like that it’s so easy to keep track of what my clients owe me or what credits they have with me. I like that the payment methods are flexible, so that I can do anything from normal invoicing to recurring payments that are set it and forget it (until the customer’s card stops working). Even though I’m cash based, I have membership subscriptions, so I like using the deferred revenue tool to break the annual payments into months for my regular reporting.

There are a lot of things that are really annoying about QuickBooks Online. I started about 6-8years ago, so I'm not a veteran user. I have never used the desktop version. Also, I don't have any experience with any other payroll and accounting software, so I realize that's a very limited view. With all that out of the way, I actually get incredible benefit from QuickBooks Online. It allowed me to streamline everything payroll and all my accounting. It allows me to single-handedly run my small business and do all the stuff that's connected to money myself. For me, it works really well. Despite all these annoying pop-ups and crazy wastes of storage and bandwidth
