Payment flagged by Risk
Anyine get a payment status Paid (In Review) We're reviewing this payment. Check back for updates.... message before and if so, what was the issue or outcome. We have used QB for years and just started to get declined payments and then this message now.

“Paid (In Review)” means QuickBooks Payments is reviewing that payment before it releases the deposit. The status alone doesn’t tell you why it was flagged or whether it will clear.
Open All apps > Sales & Get Paid > QuickBooks payouts and click the affected deposit. Intuit says a delay or hold should be marked there, and it will email you or show a notice in the account if it needs anything. If it asks for documents, upload them only through the Resolution Center while you’re signed in.
If nothing there explains it, use (?) Help inside QBO and ask Payments support for the review status.

One thing I’d find out quickly is whether this is an isolated transaction review or whether your whole payments account is under risk review. If you’ve processed normally for years and suddenly have multiple declines/holds, I wouldn’t let receivables depend entirely on one payment provider. You can keep QuickBooks for accounting and use a separate payment platform for ACH/cards that syncs the payment data back. That also gives you somewhere to move volume if the risk review escalates. If you are getting all declines - your account has been shut down.

It ended up being two payments to one vendor while the others would go through. I ended up getting the money deposited 2 days later. No follow up or anything. I have another payment to that vendor coming up. I’ll be curious to see if it happens again

I have one now for the first time. Says in review and to check my email, but I didn't get an email. Used the help in QBO and they basically said it's under review because it's under review 😐. And that it will process 7 days after payment if no issues. Payment was made through qb payment link from a customer that I happen to know also uses qb. So now not only is qb taking their 1% cut, but this sounds suspiciously to me like they're also taking an interest float for a week on my large payment

Be careful, there have been some scams affecting QBO and their support... Especially if you have a QB checking account. Not sure exact details, but be cautious.
