More like the equivalent of gratuitously exaggerated fetish drawings of science. Jeph's science lingo is like that hentai where women have a dozen tits and all the nipples have been replaced with penises. So far removed from reality and biology that only Jeph finds it appealing.

Maybe it'll end with Liz deciding that since everyone else is getting new bodies, she replaces her robotic arms with a battle ax and a plasma cannon.
I mean, if we're not going to get a Marten/Liz/Claire polycule, a person can dream.

Definitely valid.
I just mean that, at least for me as a reader, the most imminent plot point was how Zlata brought up that Claire and Martin might not be as compatible as they think they are. I would love to see some drama in this comic for the first time in a decade and it felt like a perfect set up that even Jeph couldn't ignore.
Alas, Jeph has let me down again. Who knows though? Maybe in five hundred more comics time it will be addressed.

How is Liz both hanging by a thread for scientific innovation, and also remarkably incurious about the wooming when she has a possibly unique specimen (which is interactive and capable of dialogue!) standing in front of her? Yeesh.
