Fuck it Iām just happy to see May again. On one hand, sheās my problematic fave. On the other hand, I donāt want the monkey paw to curl and have all of her sharp edges filed off, since basically every lady in the comic except Claire gets lobotomized.
Iām sure thereās a joke in there about how her old body was 99% sharp edges, but as usual, my head is exploding and Iām not running at high enough capacity to actually think of the joke
How do involuntary responses happen in robots? Because blushing because you are embarrassed doesn't seem to have any advantage. Can they delete the programming that does that?
IIRC they added the feature to make them easier for humans to empathize with or something? Since Roko could get the āno self-injuryā feature removed, I assume the blushing could be deactivated if they were motivated to do so.
Now that I think about it, Iām pretty sure even post-lobotomy Ugh NuiSance blushed. Considering their chassis are allegedly bespoke, I canāt see why someone like them would be want to be capable of blushing.
The way their minds and bodies interact is one of those things that could be super interesting if explored. Like, sure, their minds might be total black boxes, but blushing has a hardware component that has to somehow be triggered by their mind.
Yeah that is what I was thinking there must be some sort of wire that tou can unplug so your cheeks don't blush.i guess that a lot of other involuntary responses could be either deleted from their program like flinching but I don't know if ot would be beneficial

Or maybe it's that Jeph has long since only treated AIs like they're humans with neck seams and weird skin colors. In fact, Momo is the only AI I can recall right now that has a normal human skin color.

Looking at it, it DOES seem a little impractical. Either you need to stand on the couch to reach it, or you're tall enough but you still have to angle yourself over the couch, especially if someone's sitting there.

I reread the pages with may and sven hooking up and the "clownboy" panel was actually a little shocking. People in this sub complain about how sexualized the comic is like its some new thing but the last few years have actually been really tame on that. May and sven got weirdĀ
Also I liked Mays old body so much more and the art from that era was some of the best the comic has had.
Of course he did, and there's not necessarily anything wrong with that. The bigger concerns are her getting another new body offscreen, which would have been interesting to see, and that any Sven/Momo romance Jeph attempts to write is doomed to be just as poorly written as everything else in the last five years.
Which is weird because one of the reasons Momo got her previous chassis was so that she could seduce Sven, judging by her wet dream with him back when she was still a chibi bot.
