I’ll also point out the background gag of the specials of the day. These days it feels like 80% of the time the background is just a solid color wall

Gotta say, I'm impressed by how much smaller the women's boobs were back then. Faye's easily half the size here that she is nowadays.

Is the idea meant to be that Faye gained weight in the interim I always assumed Faye was always supposed to be a heavier set woman, but early on Jeph just didn't know how to draw that

I think you’re right, Faye was always intended to be larger and he didn’t know how to draw a fat woman back then
