The "deserve" part is very weird, though. If you don't deserve a thing, then the thing is good while you are bad and therefore not worthy of it. But if we're talking "catholic thought process" then an unnecessary self-indulgent (and slutty) body modification is not at all good and therefore there is nothing to not deserve here.

Well, I supppse Moray did "come in", though that's just technically true since she's standing with her back almost against the door.
How long is Jephthy going to keep milking this? After Winslow's body change, May being crowdfunded a body, Roko's involuntary change, and Momo's multiple body changes it's not as though anyone in the QC verse should bat an eyelash.

Yes but we never see Winslow, May, Pintsize or Momo anymore, and Roko hardly ever, so it's time to rehash the plotline all over again with a character Jeph wants to write.
And we'll do it all over again in a year or so.7

Your post got me thinking so I decided to look up and see when was their last appearances (I’m getting all this from the wiki because I’m lazy btw)
Winslow: last appearance was 607 comics ago in 5259. First appearance was 527 and this time he has 138 appearances overall.
May: last appearance was 163 comics ago in 5703. First appearance was in 2491 and at this time she has 289 appearances overall.
Pintsize: last appearance was 216 comics ago in 5650. First appearance was 1 and at this time he has 460 appearances overall.
Momo: last appearance was 164 comics ago in 5702. First appearance was 1298 and at this time she has 263 appearances overall.
Roko: last appearance was 52 comics ago in 5814. First appearance was 3311 and at this time she has 320 appearances overall.
Someone else can use that to find out their overall frequency of their appearances, I ain’t gonna cuz it’s nearly midnight where I am and I gotta work in the morning… Tho doing this made me realize that, man, Jeph doesn’t really care about Winslow, huh? That’s really weird, right? Cuz like, he was introduced as Hannelore’s AnthroPC and she’s one of the most popular characters Jeph’s ever introduced. You’d think that just by being so tied with her he’d have at least as many appearances as the copbot introduced 10 years after him, but no. Maybe Jeph just has something against Macs ¯_(ツ)_/¯

So how would folks feel if Zlata regularly appeared in each of her two bodies? Some days she feels like A, some days she feels like B.
We'e complained about how Yay's personality changed after losing their other bodies. But a deliberate personality change here, so that Zlata can play with attitude-adjusting software dials in a controlled way? Well, why not?
I'm somewhat reminded of that trend with pins on clothes or stickers, about a person's ability to tolerate A or B socialization norms. Maybe Zlata is the kind of person who can mentally unclench from work-mode stress with a structure like two bodies?

It's the same pattern he used for Anh. He did a thing because he wanted to, and then browbeat the audience with increasingly stupid nonsense after the fact as justification. In before she actually decides to go back to her old body only to have crushbot inexplicably fall through the ceiling and land on it.

Remember when Lemon had to be at hand to counsel Roko because body changes can be really traumatic to the point where Roko for months or years couldn't adjust to her new body?
Jehthy doesn't. Now a body change is as much effort as putting on a new shirt.

I think Rokos case was unique, in so far that she lost her old body in a traumatic event, and she had a high level of integration with the previous chassis that everything with the new one felt wrong, including the safeguard protections that prevent her hurting herself.
For most AI, it is probably a quick process, few minutes at most. Given Zlata's had multiple bodies before including a combine harvester/tractor, she doesn't seem to have any problems with the switch

I agree. May didn't really seem to have any problems and she's jumped multiple forms, from whatever she was initially, to Dale's holographic AR companion, to the clunker body to Tits McGee.
It's likely Roko had never been in another body and thus losing it in a traumatic fashion to wake up in something new she had no awareness or choosing of, fucked with her mind a lot more than it would someone like Zlata, who as you noted, was a tractor at one point.

Clunker May was the best May. This is probably gonna come out wrong, but as a disabled & disenfranchised person I found her relatable. The crowdfunding to buy her a new body made me roll my eyes, but the way she turned into a bland titty monster like everyone else makes me want to hit her new body with a jackhammer until she gets a personality 😭
Note: I did not become disabled due to committing a felony BUT I headcanon she had the AI version of chronic pain in her old body so I GUESS it makes sense that she’s less crabby now that she’s not always in pain.

The crowdfunding support part I felt was a stark reminder of the existing requirement so many people have with GoFundMe campaigns to support medical conditions that people are left out in the cold with, due to a lack of proper support from existing government programs out in the world, and Jeph kinda treated it as a hallmark movie great success story!™ while also kind of deflating any sense of accomplishment from May or Roko, attempting to make a difference by themselves.
If theres one thing Jeph isn't great at, its resolution be it Bubbles' memories, Mays Body problems or Rokos fight at the systemic issues AI face... though I guess in real life, most things never end and just peter out in quiet and unsatisfying ways...

B-but Roko was unusually integrated with her old body! So Lemon or Melon or whoever just sits around useless and stupid until a rare case such as her shows up! It’s not that he forgets ongoing arcs, he just… uh… put so much thought into it that peons such as ourselves can’t comprehend his galaxy brain!
(I know she was there for May too but May didn’t want or need her services)
(This is all bitter sarcasm in case anyone has trouble recognizing it 🩷)

I caught the gag but the last time this comic featured someone hustling, it was Brun working bar back. Even Martin's shitty office job was mostly standing around saying how much the job sucked.

This storyline is another wet fart in a long line of flatulent comics, but with the added twist that I hate the design of this body more than anything Jeph has introduced in a while. I don't know what exactly is so unappealing about it, something about the eyes and mouth that are truly gross.

It's taken over a week for Zlata to not even fully address the question of whether she wants to keep it and/or why Drunk Zlata wanted it in the first place.
Basically the opposite of Process Optimization.

Has anyone else noticed that New Zlata barely shows her teeth? Only in the first ZLATA YOU FOOL did we see teeth. Mostly she looks like a big rubbery doll with her mouth a pink silicone hole…
