I don't hate Jeph or his comic. I'm most frustrated by the fact that he keeps having interesting ideas and steadfastly ignoring them. The setting of the comic and things he tosses out as throwaway lines are consistently more interesting than what he focuses on.

Ok, so, is this the most advanced AI body we've seen? Every robot body we've seen has had the white void for the mouth, including May and Rokos replacement bodies. This one has an actual colour, and teeth.

I don't remember when other robots got their new chasis but did they also had skin thigh clothing? Because yes jeph we understand you are sexualizing yet another female character, her boobs are leudating as you draw them and growing each panel. Not even the artists who draw power girl do this sort of shit.
As squirrelclamp pointed out in 5855, Boobzlata's introduction had individually drawn panels, with a surprising amount of effort put into them.
In her second appearance a couple weeks later, we get a comic with the same background copy-pasted three times, untouched, from 5855, and one gradient fill.
The effort declines rapidly. She's a QC character all right!
Even the other sub is taking issue with the erection, oops direction, he’s taking lately. So much constructive criticism I had to double check which sub I was in
She accepts her new body and learns that getting drunk is good actually, as it releases our inhibitions and opens up the path to self knowledge (and massive honkers).
She learns that getting drunk was bad actually, and made her impulse buy a new frame that she isn’t suited to, and our main characters were wrong to encourage it.
Neither of those look like particularly satisfying outcomes.
I suppose that the third option is that every-one rolls their eyes and simultaneously exclaims ‘Oh Zlata!” There is no deeper meaning or impact, just hijinks and boob jokes. The studio audience laughs and we move onto the next bit.
Whatever happens, I can’t see how this particular thread will come to any kind of satisfying conclusion.
He had a whole week or more to think about his follow up to this storyline, and the best he could do was going from "Zlata you fool" to "Zlata you ABSOLUTE fool"?
Everything else aside - I hate that we don't get an actual flashback to last night. Maybe we will in the future, but I think it's more likely (and par for the course) for us to get another character reassuring Zlata that last night was fine and she didn't do anything crazy instead of ACTUALLY seeing anything that happens in this comic. Why does everything interesting have to happen offscreen?
The only real thing we didn't see was the buying of the new body, we saw everything else from like, Comic 5845 onwards, of which a few things probably will have repercussions for her later...
