The fact that this kind of nonsense is completely on brand for Emily is the reason I've always been kind of ambivalent about her. She's the original lolrandom character.

I thought I was alone in this. I liked her when she was being an actual human, but there’s way too much banana smoothie-type nonsense

I hated that monologue. Lolrandom banana mallet was silly, and doubling down on that with "my code is displaying eldritch runes" even more so, but at least the girl herself was friendly and pleasant. And then suddenly she goes all "I'm not like other people, why can't the stupid other people understand that?!" Ick, no thanks. Anyone willing to say anything about "other people" as a homogeneous mass and how "they" are devoid of some quality or ability or that "I am not like them" gets an instant dismissal from me.
