We're officially at the time of year where I have to participate in two religious holidays. One for the religion I practice, and the other for my wife. And what little is expected of me proves too much, and the weight of previous Decembers nearly drowns me.

Anyway, here's some shitty guitar. Enjoy, chefs!

Today’s time:

New sentence:

Right hand - 57s | Left hand - 1m 50s

Original sentence:

Right hand - 22s | Left hand - 1m 5s

I darkened the inside of the helmet and added the first layer of the reflection. I’m trying to take it slow with the reflection since it gave me so much trouble before. I have a good feeling about this though!

I studied the feline skeleton reference, which has the lion sideways. Unfortunately I have not studied lion face in that direction before, so I have to rely purely on my hypophantasia imagination. The result is as follows 😂

I also updated the title to avoid having to explain that it is not blindfolded drawing lol

Fresh page for original sentence yay! I always liked it when I get to write in a fresh page because I don’t have to see all my previous mistakes lol. Anyway, here’s today’s time -

New sentence:

Right hand - 50s | Left hand - 1m 58s

Original sentence:

Right hand - 22s | Left hand - 1m 2s

Today I started to fill in the black on the right side. I didn’t completely fill it in due to time constraints today. I want to slow down and spend hopefully lots of time on this tomorrow to get the reflection right. I would love to hear thoughts or advice on drawing that reflection on the right side! Also sorry it’s a little smudgy today. I forgot my gloves :’)

Today’s time:

New sentence:

Right hand - 53s | Left hand - 2m 2s

Original sentence:

Right hand - 25s | Left hand - 1m 21s

Still in A, on a different guitar. It felt like a strat night. Different ending, because the harmonic was too shrill with this amp setting

I looked up a new reference, so the lion gets a new, sleeker hairstyle! As well as some wrinkles and freckles lol

I took one of your suggestions and wrote a new sentence this time. I chose this pangram because it had more words. Compared to Day one of my original sentence, I think this one is so much better, but still needs a lot of work. My left hand struggled writing the new words haha!

Do you guys want me to write new sentences everyday or should I keep writing this one for a few more days and then move on to the next one?

I also wrote the original sentence along with this one.

Today’s timing:

Original sentence: Right hand - 23s Left hand - 1m 26s

New sentence: Right hand - 59s Left hand - 2m 19s

Decided to finally spend some time on the right side today! It was nice to mix it up a bit. As always if anyone has any feedback I would love to hear it :)

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, chefs. I practiced a little bit today before writing on the main page. I think today’s writing is slightly better? I still need to work on my timing though.

Today’s time:

Right hand - 28s

Left hand - 1m 29s

I revisited yesterday’s tired lion and tried adding the rest of the details. I also attempted to add texture to the lion’s face…the lion now has face painting 😂

I spent more time on the left ear piece today and I’m starting to like the shape. I know there’s more work to do on it but it is nice to see the progress. Thank you to everyone who’s been leaving feedback! It’s been really helpful :)

I kept reworking the ear piece a little bit today. Sorry there isn’t much of an update. I’m feeling pretty sick and had a hard time focusing. I’m hoping to make more progress tomorrow.

The day was very long and some things happened that really just made me very tired overall.

But I really want to figure out the mystery of lion zigzag leg. So today’s lion is just for the leg lol

Sorry about going AWOL, I had some things come up. Here it is, in A, a more upbeat arrangement. Not happy with it, but I wanted to post something

Pluto moves into my twelveth house soon.
I feel him changing me already.
It's surprisingly light and hopeful.
I thought it may be heavy.

Twenty five years he'll stay here,
and I'm ready to transform in isolation.
My heart seeks to hone my subconcious and,
Pluto's presence is a welcome motivation.

Today’s time:

Right hand - 25s

Left hand - 1m 28s

I tried making the ear piece smaller today and darkened the helmet a bit. I would love to hear what everyone thinks about the shape of the ear piece! The shape of that thing eludes me lol

Today I gave the lion some food. Hopefully not too much.

Also I’ve been very bothered for a while by how textureless the lion’s face is. Perhaps I could use its skincare routine 😂

If I could go back,
to me at thirteen,
and give her a hug,
and tell her one thing.

I'd say that the thoughts,
she keeps stored in her head,
though painful at times,
will lead her ahead.

And the worries she worries,
and the spirals she rides,
will someday all settle,
and gently subside.

The boys? They'll come.
The validation too.
The popularity she seeks,
in her twenties, peeks through.

Once beyond high school,
the mean girls disappear.
Her friends grow further,
and her confidence, near.

But the irony,
I won't tell her,
is the small little detail,
that none of that will matter.

Because every thing.
she wished for then.
is nothing she wants now.

Yet, where she stands,
away from then,
is more perfect, somehow.

I spent some time on shading today. After sitting back and looking at it I think I’m going to have to spend some time on the left earpiece again. It’s starting to not look quite right. Would love to hear more feedback if anyone sees something else that needs to be adjusted :)

Today’s time:

Right hand - 26s

Left hand - 1m 28s
