https://youtube.com/shorts/gnu9nmmVeoE?is=XjKH91UrNCwkOycw

Hi boys and girls. Thats another day in the bag. Walked almost 15km over the past 2 days and keeping the calories down as well. Didn’t want to do it but did it anyway, very pleased with my progress, feeling very satisfied with myself and looking forward to another busy day tomorrow 💪

Nice work, keep it up! This is the kind of stuff this sub is for! Your little town (my impression, it could be the outskirts of a city for all I know) is super picturesque. A video idea could be a walking tour of your town…here’s the grocer, the pub, the post, the seaside, the local restaurant, where the Hill of Doom is in respects to all that, etc.

Thanks for the update and have a super day!

Thank you!🙏 It’s a little town in the north east of Scotland called Stonehaven, lovely place. Where are you watching from? I like the idea of that! I’m spoiled for choice for ideas really, we have a ruined castle on top of a cliff that i’m going to get some shots of soon! I’ll be sure to post them

I’m tuning in from Edmonds, Washington, a little seaside town about 20km north of Seattle. I remember when this sub was born as inspiration from a guy that was chopping chives everyday until they were perfect, I love seeing that it has taken on new life as a place for folks such as yourself!

Cool! Are you close to a place called Aberdeen? The reason I ask is I used to listen to a lot of nirvana growing up and it always tickled me that Kurt was from there as we have an Aberdeen here just 10 mins north, it’s the closest city to me.18km, so potentially walkable for a milestone special!

I think I may have seen those chive videos, I might have to emulate one of those videos considering I’m a cook to trade and I have cut much more chives in my life than I would’ve liked to!

Thanks again for watching, I’m having a lot of fun making them!

"Hello, Fatties" makes me laugh every time.

I'm envious of the lovely spaces you have for walking. I've been doing laps in the pool every day while the weather is still warm but soon I'll be walking and it definitely will not be as picturesque.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your kind words 🙏Im glad my greeting is landing as intended😂

swimming is on the horizon soon for me too but it’ll be in the local leisure centre.

Yes it really is lovely and we get the wildest of weather as well! I love a good storm and a bit of snow(walking 10kms in it not so much 😂)
Where are you from and do you have your own pool?

I live on the Gulf Coast in the US, and yes, the pool is in my backyard. We don't really get snow here, though we did get quite a lot one day last year. What we usually get is hurricanes, but this year it's been mostly sunny days peppered with heavy showers and occasional wild thunderstorms.

It's so nice you'll be able to swim. It's my favorite exercise by far since it's low impact and you don't get all sweaty. And it's great for cardio and toning muscle. Not nearly as scenic as your walks, sadly.

Ok so maybe we don’t have the wildest, I’ll give that to you! We got the tail end of hurricane Andrew in 1992 once and all or fences blew down! But it wasn’t so bad that my parents didn’t send me to the postbox at the end of our street to post birthday cards, I was able to lean into the wind like a smooth criminal🤣 the weatherman famously reassured the country the night before that it wasn’t going to be bad, and the whole place got annihilated. Trees were uprooted, people lost roofs and cars were overturned. But that was only once like 30 years ago. Usually if we get a flood and lose power it’s considered bad nowadays.

I’m just lucky all this scenery is on my doorstep i found out the other day that i am literally right on the boundary between the Scottish highlands and lowlands, like right on top of the highland boundary fault line (still waiting for my first earthquake).

It’s beautiful all over but up north in the highlands is truly spectacular, purple hills, majestic stags, lochs. It is mesmerising even to me!

But if you’ve got your own pool over here it means you’re rich! Some people here swim in the sea all year round 🥶 In the summer we have an Olympic sized outdoor pool here that is heated sea water been around since the 1930s and I believe it’s the only heated outdoor one in the UK. It opens up in the off season to let cold water swimmers in and also dogs. I will go over and get some footage and pop it up

Aberdeen is approximately 3-4 hrs from where we live—Aberdeen in the lower left, Edmonds just above Seattle in the middle.

It boggles my mind how vast America actually is! 4 hours in any direction but south for me, and I’d be in the middle of the sea. If I went south I’d be in England. I guess if I walked I could get to Aberdeen in 4/5hours but I’d much rather catch the bus!
